Answer:	Not sure where you got 12 x 12 x 29 but the description says 29 inches by 144 inches. So 29 inches for the length of the rolled up pad material, and when you unroll it, it is 144 inches long. Guess maybe when it is rolled up, it might measure 12 inches in diameter?
Question:	Does it turn on and pair to a device as soon as its plugged into power
Answer:	Once you let if fluff up, it is about an inch thick. I try to use two layers in my cooler, but one will work.
