Question:	How do you completely turn the system off? Ive read the instructions, but still have words across the top, thank you i advance
Answer:	On both the radio and the radio's remote control is a button labelled On/Standby that turns the radio on/off. On remote the button is red and on the radio it's just above the volume button to the left side. You should look on the instructions under the tab Disc/Playback for on/off p. E-12 and p. E-4 under the tab Front Panel. Also, on the radio's remote is a button labelled sleep as a timer to turn off the radio, if you forget to do so.

Answer:	Yes! I love this feature. MY only issue with this player is the complicated instructions . Otherwise it sounds great. I have 3 BOSE units which sound good, are compact, & easy to use.....but they are ALWAYS on the fritz. This little SHARP unit is small, sounds good, and most importantly for me....it has the 5 disc capability. I've had it about 4 years now & it has never failed to operate properly. AND it's almost 3x less in price than a BOSE.... which only plays ONE disc. No brainer!

Answer:	No, the above is the size of the main unit, though my measurments are slightly different. Measurement across the top of the unit with the speakers at each side of the main player: 19 inches. Speakers, each: 5-3/4” X 7-1/2” X 10-1/2”. Main unit: 6-3/4” X 9-1/2” X 11-1/2”
Question:	cant he speakers be separated from base unit and how long is the wire from back of base unit to speaker
Answer:	The speakers are, indeed, separate from the base unit. The speakers are "hardwired" with about 6-feet length of rather thin gauge wire. The main unit has simple spring-loaded terminals to pinch the bare ends of the speaker wires. I added some additional length of heavier gauge wire to the existing wires to get the length I needed. The speakers are 6-ohms, but the manual states something like, "don't use speakers that are less than 6-ohms", which, to me, indicates one could use different speakers as long as they are at least 6-ohm. For example, 8-ohm speakers are common, but they might wouldn't be as efficient with the relatively low-powered 50-watt amplifier ... some they wouldn't be able to get as loud as the stock 6-ohm speakers.

Answer:	Only region 1 DVD's will play on this particular model.

Answer:	I have tried to do this with many dvds (by utilizing the disc program feature which is the only way I surmise one could play 5 movies w/o touching any buttons) with the same error message occuring once its time to go to the next disc or movie: "not allowed by disc." So that must mean disc manufacturers don't want you to advance to the next disc w/o clicking buttons or controls.

Answer:	I don't use the HDMI output on my set up because I have it patched through an older Pioneer A/V receiver. I looked at the owners manual with regard to hook ups and my interpretation of what I see and read is the HDMI will patch the audio and video. I know the HDMI on my Sony flat screen which is patched into my Apple TV includes the audio. I hope this helps.

Answer:	The side brackets come off to make it a free standing unit. I would guess that the feet remove easily if one wanted to install it in a rack. I can not check until next week, I will try to measure it for you, check the feet and get back to you

Answer:	You can choose which sensors are used to control the furnace. If you only select one, that sensor will determine the room temp. If you select more than one sensor, the system uses the average to determine when to run the furnace. If you use wireless sensors you can move them around to deal with uneven temps.

Question:	regarding onkyo dx c390 - can i discs, press play to hear music or is it necessary to connect speakers? i just opened pkg and do not see speakers
Answer:	This is a CD player/changer only. Not only will you need speakers, you will also need an amplifier (which could be incorporated into a stereo receiver). And "RCA"-type cables and speaker wire to connect your new audio system. Good luck.
Question:	My Onkyo CD player is having a weird issue. The first track is jittery but the rest of the tracks play fine. Any ideas as to how to fix it
Answer:	The CD may have a bad track. Sometimes wiping it off gently with a static-free cloth will fix the problem. I found the same problem - thought it was the CD changer - but it was a bad audio track. In troubleshooting, be sure to change to another CD so the first one is ejected. Then play another CD and see if the problem returns. After removing the CD with the bad track, power down the CD changer for about 30 seconds in order to clear the system. Power the unit back on and select a new CD. If the problem doesn't return, open the CD loading door and load in the problem CD, select that CD and see if the problem returns.

Answer:	This 6 CD player has a Repeat option and a Shuffle option. If you use them both simultainiously all tracks on all disks will shuffle indefinately. Unless you get a seriously defective unit like I did. And then they just stop doing so after about 4 or 5 tracks.

Answer:	Hi Maria: if you are playing a CD, that has been recorded with songs in individual tracks, say 1-17; if you are listening to a song on track 5, you can STOP that song from playing, and the CD player will stop on that track, in that particular place. If you "hit" the play button again, the CD will continue playing that song. You can also "Fast Forward" that song, and stop the player before the end of the track. At the end of the track, the player will automatically go to the next track. One thing you can not do, as you can with a DVD player, that is playing a DVD that has been recorded with music, is STOP the CD player from playing a track, and then reverse the player to a previous point on the track you have been playing - the player will automatically revert to the previous track. However, if the CD you are playing has not been recorded in tracks, but is just one continuous sequence of songs, then you would be able to reverse the player to a previous position on the CD. The CD player keeps track of the total time of the DISK being played, and displays it on the indicator on the front panel. So, if you have written down the time your favorite song starts to play, you would be able to start your favorite song playing, from a Fast Forward position, by just stopping the player, and then restarting it in the ordinary Play mode, or reverse the player to the time displayed in which your favorite song starts. Answer:	It can only receive a Bluetooth signal from an audio device.

Answer:	Mono records are made that way on purpose. Not so much anymore but mono means one, so only one speaker or two speakers will have the exact same sound, whereas stereo records are surround sound, with different sounds in each speaker/headphone.
Question:	Unplugged and plugged back in and it doesn't seem to be getting power anymore. How do we fix this problem
Answer:	i had the same problem but i pushed the on button till i got it to work. then i get a remote on off switch , so i can turn it on remotely .

HDMI Compatible

High-Definition Multi-media Interface (HDMI) is an interface format that provides uncompressed digital audio and video directly to a digital television. Answer:	This is not a "complete" unit, but merely picks sounds off the CDs and provides output to send to (not included) speakers. Did you have a CD player previously? If so you would likely make the same connections to get CD output to your speakers. Otherwise, you will need another unit which will do that, probably including an amp. Might be time to reach out for help to someone in your circle of acquaintance. Mine is plugged into an "AV Receiver", (ONKYO brand, model TX-SR502) which also receives signal from my DVD player, turntable, TV, and internet radio receiver. The unit also provides radio tuner output if I want to listen to radio. Obviously, this is a separate unit which enables one to select which input to listen to.

Answer:	Yes, just look at the buttons on the face of the unit. Old ones are the best. I have purchased three from amazon...maybe four and they work beautifully without a remote. I never use the remote anyway.
