So you end up with a better player thoughtfully designed Unlike astell and kern. The use dacs that are premade and cost wayyyyy less that what astell and kern sell them for. Astell and kerns 3,000 dollar player has dacs that are maybe 50-100 dollars to manufacture but sell them for $$$ in pretty aluminum cases If however your looking for a cheaper solution I’d recommend the hifime S2 dac It runs off your phone battery just make sure to buy the otg cable and then plug your headphones in using the standard 3.5mm jack I own one and it sounds really good. And for about 130 Bucks you can get the dac and cable down load tidal or Qobuz and get amazing quality very affordable Just my 2 cents I hope this helps

Apple TV is connected to the TV HDMI input and the audio passes through the TV to the Sonos surround system. I have a Beam and that’s how mine is setup with an Apple TV. Works great!

Question:	Why would my note 8 sound far better than this unit with direct source eq? Both using flac files and same songs? Is my unit defective
Answer:	Maybe you prefer the sound of Note 8. Many people actually like slightly "imperfect" sound. After all, on a daily basis, we are all exposed to heavily processed and eq-ed sounds so maybe that is what we start liking.

Answer:	The Car Kit includes a car power adapter that plugs into a lighter or a similar 12 volt DC outlet. This power adapter eliminates the need for batteries. Also included is a cassette player adapter, in case the car doesn't have an Aux In jack, but still has a cassette player. The kit does not include a mini to mini cable to connect to an Aux in jack.
