Answer:	If the lights run off 3V DC, such as two 1.5V batteries (AAA, AA, C or D cells) then this power supply should work - if its output is actually regulated to 3V over varying loads and is filtered to minimize ripple from the AC input. If the lights are LEDs then make sure the polarity (+ and -) applied to the lights is correct (or they will not conduct/illuminate). Spec says 1A max, but do not load more than about 700 mA.

Answer:	Not unless you have a DC input in your radio. To do that you would have to install one and replace the batteries with rechargeable batteries unless you also install a switch but that would be inadvisable in case you forget to switch it, for your batteries could explode. I use rechargeable batteries and an external charger.
