| Answer: | I bought this based upon the Reviewer from Dec. 29th 2019's feedback and discovered everything they said is wrong. It does not keep the Fire TV Stick powered when the USB Port on the TV is turned off. When I purchased this unit myself I charged it via a standard USB Charger Block as the instructions said that any USB charging source could be used and after hours of charging decided to move it to the TV and I powered up everything and watched TV for another few hours and decided to test the unit by turning off the TV for a few minutes and noticed that the Blue dots on the device went out immediately and after 3 min. turned the TV back on and the Fire TV 4K Stick did a cold boot! The battery inside this device doesn't keep the Fire TV 4K Stick powered at all when the USB port is turned off. I don't see any reason to own this device as I have a USB 3.0 port on my Samsung TV and it seems to power the Fire TV 4K Stick just fine! I play 4K Ultra Content all of the time and have not seen any issues previously so maybe they are talking about very old TV sets that only had USB 2.0 ports? Otherwise, save your money. |

| Answer: | The Bushnell Backtrack works very well in the mountains, provided you have a good view of much of the sky. Note that you can only save 3 waypoints, and that you have to actually be at those places to save them. Then you can navigate back to them. You cannot read coordinates off a map and enter them into the unit (as you can with most other GPS devices). Last year I went to Sunrise parking lot on Mt. Rainier and saved a waypoint on my Bushnell Backtrack at my car. Then I watched it as I hiked to Fremont Peak and back, and it always gave me the distance and direction back to my car. The terrain was clear and open all the way, being at near 6000 ft and above treeline all the way. On the way back, it indicated I had arrived when I was only about 10 feet from the car. |

The altitude reading was waaaay off, and I was never able to get the computer tracking program to work on my pc. So I saved my money and got a real GPS, Garmin Oregon, and I am very happy I did. I should have done that in the first place! |

| Answer: | I purchased the Backtrack thinking it would be great for use both hunting and photographing wildlife. It is slow to locate satellites and in areas where the tree canopy is reasonably dense, it often isn't able to locate satellites at all. The other disappointing feature is that the tracking file it creates is not a standard gpx file, so trying to use it with any standard mapping program won't work. It was a great disappointment in that respect because I wanted to geotrack the images I captured in the field. I called Bushnell customer service, and they said they used an aftermarket company to design the software, and they couldn't help me at all with reading and working with it. I called the company that designed the software, and they said they didn't have any solution for me and they said they weren't even considering making the software compatible with standard industry. My suggestion is to look for an inexpensive hand-held garmin gps online - either new, or used. You can get a used one for almost the price of the backtrack, and it will be way more useful. This is just my opinion. Many people purchase hand-held GPS units and never use them. They just turn around and sell them later. You can get some real bargain that way. Garmin even sells factory refurbished units. These are just as good as the new ones, but for less money. |
