| Answer: | This is my experience from trying one to heat the water until the tank hot water gets there in the line: As your whole house water heater hot water reaches the unit, the temperature will still increase hotter than the whole house heater is set at. Until the tank hot water gets there in the line, this unit makes the water only just above room temperature, slightly warm. For example, lets say the unit heats the passing through water by 30° F from whatever temperature the intake water is already at. IF the intake water is 70° F already, you get 100 degree water at faucet which feels only slightly above room temperature warm. If the water intake is 105° from the tank water heater, then add the 30° heat the unit provides, so at faucet you get a burst of 130-135° water for about 5 seconds. Then as continually running, the water temperature drops back to an estimated 110 to 120° F... Still slightly hotter than the hot water leaving the tank type heater. To slightly warm the water in the line before the whole house water heater water gets there is about all this unit is good for. Just know that it doesn't heat the cold water much more than room temperature. |

| Answer: | I had a torch with the same problem after it got muddy water on it. My torch's piezo is smaller and I could not find one the same size so, I took mine apart. Compressed air and silicon did not work. There are 2 little locking pins/ramps on the button end. I used sharp nosed tweezers to spread the housing and pulled out the button. The little white pins inside somehow had too much friction likely from wear and grit. I used di-electric grease and it clicked fine. I had to remove grease to get it to spark so, only apply a tiny bit of grease to the pin slides and not the metal contacts. |
