Answer:	I haven't had it for a year yet but have left it in a drawer for several months and took it our recently and it was still charged. Here is what you need to know: the Sonos SL is the updated version of the old Sonos Play:1... it adds apple air play compatibility, but the one downside no one has mentioned anywhere here on the Amazon site is that you cannot pair an SL with a Play:1. The new capabilities conflict and prevent it. So if you already have a Play:1 and wish to have a stereo pair, you'll need to buy two to do so.

Answer:	I've seen on some watch descriptions that they claim fluorescent light will keep it charged. You can get an LED charging pad that's just for charging solar watches. Look up "cool fire". I bought one of their solar and radio atomic watches because it came with the charging pad all for around $70. I have three Solar watches and just put them in the window sill every month or so (or on the pad) because they are kept in a (mostly) dark room. Some instructions tell you not to put it in direct sunlight because it can get the watch too hot. Morning or late afternoon sun doesn't seem too hot. .
