The 4-way power is this: it has a handle you can turn to charge it, that's 1; it has a solar panel for charging, that's 2; it has a lithium ion (or something) battery that you can plug into the wall to charge, that's 3; and you can also put 3 AA batteries in it to power it, that's 4. 4-ways to charge it. I liked this radio, but wish I had bought the digital one for a few bucks more.

Answer:	Yes you can, however the output power will drop drastically (form 5 to I think about 2W) with no indication on the display - it would still show “H” for High power. With the included battery pack though (which is essentially 5 1.2 NiMH AAA batteries in series) it achieves 5W transmit power. Which means if you buy it because of 5W output you must use battery pack. However battery pack does not last long. It is only 700mAh. Radio consumes 42mA on standby. So about 16 hours standby time if you don’t transmit. Charding time on the other hand is 12 hours. Make your own conclusions.

Answer:	There are certainly many different choices available to folks regarding radio choices. Question:	If you have more then 2 will they all be able to communicate with each other or is a pair locked to each other
Answer:	These devices have the ability to communicate with any Walkie Talkie tuned to the same channel. they have 36 channels and 121 privacy codes. They are not locked to each other. I have used mine with a buddy's set of Motorola Walkie talkies and they work fine together. I believe I have had around 8 different devices on the same channel and everyone was able to communicate with each other.
Question:	Why does it say 30 mile range if it only reaches 3 to 4 blocks in city & open space is a couple miles? Seems like dishonest advertising
Answer:	It's hard to answer this question without adding some basics of radio. These gadgets (FRS Band) operate @ 462+ MHz and indeed is close to "line of sight" (with no obstructions) use, as is everything in this frequency range - this is one of those "Mother Nature is a Bi&$%" things. Couple that with their 500 Mw (1/2 watt) output and it's easy to become disappointed with the range offered. Remember, manufacturers love to tout the best case scenario for their products.Bottom line, these are kiddie toys unless paired with a more powerful (and licensed, as I am) GMRS (Ground Mobile Radio Service) base station using a decent antenna. Answer:	I'd stay 5' apart while doing so. Loudest cafe I've been in is the King's Road Cafe ... 1/2 mile east of Beverly Hills and 5 block east of Cedars Sinai and the Beverly Mall on Beverly Boulevard in LA. This is a bustling, rustic place that roasts it's own coffee beans and has the best coffee I've ever had in the USA ... the equal to a typical coffee in Switzerland ... $3 for a HUGE pink cup (1/2 coffee and 1/2 steamed milk). And the food is fabulous and reasonable (try well-done salmon atop a veggie salad). The crowd is eclectic ... you may see well-known entertainers at lunch (Renee Zellweger used to hang there). Question:	Is this IP65 water/dust proof, or even just water resistant at all
Answer:	The one I bought came with a disposable Nebo battery . But you can buy the rechargeables .
Question:	No in/out position for solar charging as in the instructions. It has an on/off position. Put to on or off position
Answer:	An 18350 is the wrong size and too large. You need a 16340 instead. Be aware that this at least a 7 year old design - practically made before 16340 rechargeables were much available. Since they start at a much higher 4.2 volts you are running a risk of burning out the emitter. Nebo isn't saying if a rechargeable will damage the flashlight and Nebo provides no information at all about the emitter being used so we can't assess this. (I have tried this flashlight and returned it. You can get these same, very old features in cheap flashlights today for about 1/3 this price.)
Question:	How well does it pick up stations in AM mode
Answer:	It might - I don't know for sure, but the 4.2V may be a bit much for this - I use 3.7V (or 3V) cr123a.
Question:	What does the yellow/green indicator light on the right of the radio front mean
Answer:	It doesn't use a bulb. It uses COB (Chip On Board) technology in combo with a Fresnel lens. And I don't know if anyone sells just the glass lens. But COB is integrated and can't just be replaced - you're better off with buying a whole new flashlight.
