Answer:	Don't recall receiving an AC power supply. I removed the batteries and was able to recover audio by plugging a USB cable into the "USB in 5v" jack. Seems like an acceptable AC power source to me.

Answer:	HD Radio is noted as being High Density, not High Definition. High Density allows digital sub channels within the same bandwidth. This radio does not demodulate or decode HD Radio format stations.

Answer:	AC adapter does NOT come with the radio. It is extra @ Amazon for $14.99. Two AA Batteries last 60 to 70 hours if radio is played at moderate volume. As an emergency radio, I would stock up on a few AA Batteries when power is not available. Also, buy the insurance plan for only $4. Total repair or replacement at no charge. Also, a great radio for camping. Reception would be the only question.

Question:	Is is better than sony icf-sw7600gr on sw? my sony icf-sw7600gr picks up only some station where i live
Answer:	I bought the Tecsun PL-880 and it is the best for SW, FM and AM. Since it has USB and USB you can tune in the ham bands plus it has the added feature of at least five bandwidth filters that really work well. This sound out of the compact radio is outstanding so if you like to listen to FM its great! The telescopic whip antenna helps with SW but the way I ordered this radio is with a special hard case with a wind up reel antenna that's about 30 feet long, a recorder to record what you have listed to, separate charger block a padded brown carrying case and a lot of other things. I can pick up some stations with the wind up wire inside the house but this radio would really shine if you had an outside long wire antenna. I have tested it that way at a friends home who has a 100 ft long wire and it was incredible how many stations it picks up. I LOVE this radio! There are quite a few things that can be accessed as features that were not in the manual but you can find vids of them on UTube. It is... impressive! Very VERY Pleased!

Answer:	One of the hidden features turns the light off. Pressing the 5 with the radio off toggles between off and normal (auto) for the light. There are quite a few hidden settings for this radio. An internet search for PL880 Hidden Features will give you more information. I have not used this setting.
Question:	Why won’t my battery charge
Answer:	As a rechargeable battery gets older and goes through many charge/ discharge cycles, it may lose its ability to hold a charge. In that case a new battery for the Tecsun PL-880 may be ordered from Amazon.

Answer:	I like this little radio so much I bought it again after I misplaced the 1st one. It tunes in very well. Receives our 1000 watt, university station (88.3). My only beef is the bottom is so slim it struggles to stand upright if the music has a lot of bass. Certainly not a deal breaker. Love this little radio.

Answer:	I just sat here and did it personally before answering. Yes, you absolutely can play the radio, or MP3s while charging. When connected to a charge cable, the "charging" icon appears. Press the "mode" button to turn on the radio. If you have a TF/SD card installed with MP3s. it will default to that mode and begin playing. Press the FM/AM button to switch to the band you want, or the SW button to play shortwave bands. The "charging" indicator continues to show it's charging the entire time. And yes, also you can connect the power cable and play the radio with no battery in it, although it says in the manual not to. Not really sure how it cold hurt the radio to do so???

Answer:	The Retekess V115 uses a small removable BL-5C 3.7 volt 1000 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, about a 1.25" wide by 2" inches tall and about 1/8 inch thick. You will see the "CH XX" flashing. 3) Key in number 01 now show CH 01. 4) Push play button ">II" once and push again one more time to save it to memory OK . Done. You can preset 80 stations on FM, 60 on AM 300 on SW. For me I will not preset more then total 20 stations. WHY ?

Answer:	As the happy owner of a Tecsun PL-360 Digital DSP radio I went through the owner's manual and failed to find any mention of a warranty. Also searched the web and had the same results. Zero mention of a warranty.

Question:	I live in an apartment and have little access to attach an external antenna to anything outside. Can an external antenna work inside an apartment
Answer:	Re sun also sell the AM booster loop, the AN-200 tunable medium wave loop antenna. I have found this no-battery solution to give a great signal boost for all bands except FM. I rest the Tecsun radio inside the loop and it works!
Question:	Can a generic, lithium-ion 3.6/4.2 volt 18650 with a 2600 - 3400 mAh rating be used in this radio? Would it fit and not overload the circuitry

Answer:	Firmware 8820 does not guarantee that it is free from the fine-tuning bug. Some 8820 firmware will still tune backwards within a kilohertz during SSB fine tuning. A small but annoying bug. Check with Electronnix before buying.

Answer:	The seller will have to tell you the version number and yes there is an easy way to read it. 1.) With the radio turned off, simply press and hold the "AM BW" button and the full display panel will turn on.2.) Then press and hold the "AM BW" again and your 880′s firmware version will display (a four digit number).You need version 8820 or higher which fixes a few of the problems but not all.

Answer:	yes it does. on my particular radio there is a religious broadcast at 9980. the 10000 beacon comes in very close to that station. when i say very close, i mean VERY close. but with an analog dial your results may vary. hope this helps.

Answer:	This unit does not have an antenna jack. You can, however, attach a piece of long wire to the telescopic antenna using an alligator clip. The end result is the same. Even a 20 foot wire will at least double your signal strength.

Answer:	Sorry it has 10 shortwave bands that cover 3.9-21.85 MHz. You can select any one of those bands and search stations all over the world. Shortwave listening works much better at night. This radio would be a very good choice for a beginner.

The 4-way power is this: it has a handle you can turn to charge it, that's 1; it has a solar panel for charging, that's 2; it has a lithium ion (or something) battery that you can plug into the wall to charge, that's 3; and you can also put 3 AA batteries in it to power it, that's 4. 4-ways to charge it. I just throw mine into the AA battery compartment. If you keep your AA batteries in it I would just tape it to side with masking tape so you don't misplace it. Hope this helps someone.

Answer:	This radio has a 2 foot telescoping antenna.. I am sure you could attach a co-ax antenna with an adapter. This is a great radio... I just love it.. play it all the time with out batteries... Hope this helps..LJ
