Most laptops do include some sort of Bluetooth functionality, however, this is often a type of Bluetooth intended solely for mice and keyboards; not for streaming audio. In order to stream audio via Bluetooth, your laptop will need to be compatible with the A2DP Bluetooth profile which is common in most phones and tablets, but not as popular in laptops or other computers.



It's possible that your laptop could connect to a Bluetooth speaker even without the A2DP profile, but you will very likely experience playback issues (no sound or drop-outs) or you will be unable to use the speaker as an audio output device. Answer:	Mine is the 100 watt power and the only other I’ve used wasn’t. I think it’s better and use it often.
Question:	Difference between the Tailgater and Tailgater Plus
Answer:	Whoa, the plus does Not have wheels, note : the person carrying it in the description.. I own the original tailgater it's very solid in construction with reinforced corners. However because of how solid it is it's heavy ( at least for me I'm smalI) the quality of it sound imho can't be beat & since I bring music into nursing homes I always wished it had a built-in trolley. The the construction of the plus appears more delicate and comes in much lighter at 11 lbs versus the older model at 17 lb.. For the wheels you would have to upgrade two Ions raptor or path finder model.. hope that helps..
Question:	Can the radio be disconnected permanently
Answer:	Disconnected?? I mean the radio is only on if you turn the radio on. I don't know why you would want to disconnect it. There is a button marked radio. Only when you push it and turn the radio on does it come on, so if u never push that button I guess u could say that the radio is disconnected permanently.

Answer:	the raptor also includes 12v charger for in-vehicle battery maintenance. Build and sound quality are very similar excpet for the additional rubber like protection on the raptor. The Pathfinder has bass boost - Raptor does not.

For optimal performance, place the product in your room at line of sight, so it is unaffected by walls, furniture, etc. Maximum range will be achieved when using devices with Bluetooth 4.0. Troubleshooting If the sound is distorted: Try lowering the volume control of your sound source, musical instrument, or microphone. Answer:	The Tailgater has an AUX port that you could connect to the audio source. We use it with an iPad to play music. I believe it would work for your purpose as long as you can connect an audio out cable to the source.
Question:	can you use this for karaoke? how do you do this
Answer:	Several ways to do karaoke. It has a microphone jack with volume control for the singer, and you you can use bluetooth to stream youtube or other media from a laptop/tablet/phone/computer/smart tv or any other bluetooth media player, and it will play the music with a separate volume control for the music. You can also connect your music media through the aux port. Karaoke CDs can be used if you have a computer or other device that plays them. You may need to get an app to play CD+G or mp3+G format to see the lyrics. If you want sound effects like reverb, you need to add them through your connected device, it does not have them natively (but supposedly can be added through an ION phone app. I have yet to try that). There are lots of songs with lyrics on youtube, so youtube can be your music and lyric source for karaoke, with no need to buy karaoke CDs. Also, a sound mixer paired with this could let you get effects and voice cancelling. Lots of ways to do karaoke!

Question:	Where do I send mine to be worked on
Answer:	I just bought one from Sam's club last night. I have a saltwater pool. These speakers literally just came out so im not sure if anyone has broken one yet... These are great for swimming pools and are probably over built for that purpose so long as you dont take the charging port cover off and on while in the water etc. I probably wouldnt take this to a beach unless i planned to keep it in a beach tent. I would also say to not open the charging port cover while in any adverse conditions. Sounds like you need a true OUTDOOR speaker...there are several really good choices on Amazon.
