Answer:	The hole is there in the Moko case and why it's there I have no idea as the iPod 6th and 7th generation have nothing there but the back of the iPod case. Just so you know, the case fits very good to the iPod 7th generation, however about two months after I put the case on my iPod 7th generation the battery expanded and I needed to remove the case to send it back to Apple. This cost me 146.00 and Apple sent me a new iPod. Did the case cause the battery to expand? I don't know for sure, but it was not easy getting the case off to send the iPod back to Apple. I have not put the case back on my replacement iPod.
