Question:	Mine won't turn off? I hold down the play/pause button until it shuts down. But as soon as I let off the button it turns back on
Answer:	I'm assuming you have the owner's/operator's manual available. If you are following the instructions correctly for turning off the device, and it doesn't operate as specified in the manual, that would suggest a malfunctioning unit. I've seen some situations where a contact will stay "closed" which would be the equivalent of holding down the power button which might only RESTART the device (would APPEAR to shut off but then start back up). But first check the manual to be sure you're doing the shut-down correctly.

P.S. question wasn't silly. - it made me think back: once had a BF whose snore had a life its own (so much so that it had its own name: "The Beast") BF, of course denied that he snored at all. Soooo one night I recorded The Beast. A couple of days later I dialed his phone and when he answered I didn't say hello, I just hit play and let him converse with The Beast. I thought it friggin HI-LAR-EE-US! Him? . . . . not so much. Your results may vary. :-)

Answer:	Just a note about recording into a dslr: the bitrate and sample rate you set on the zoom doesn't affect the bitrate and sample rate recorded onto the dslr file. Your dslr always determines the bitrate and sample rate. (IE: for most Canon's that's 44khz/16 bit). The audio quality from the zoom will be better than your on-camera mic simply because the microphone itself is higher quality, but don't expect to be recording 96khz/24 bit audio straight into your dslr's .mov files!

Answer:	Sure thing. I use mine as a primary aiduo recorder for my Nikon D5300. I use the sound from the camera as areference track and then stnc the wave file from the Zoom to the video using Final Cut X. Works perfect with much better sound quality.

Answer:	You get roughly 12 hours on the 2GB micro SD card included, in MP3 320kbps. Quality is excellent. If you want WAV format your looking at about 2.5 hours with the stock card. Larger cards are cheap though so it's upgradable.

Answer:	I think what happens is that the recording is still resident but just ends with the *beep beep* of the battery dying. I've not paid attention lately to it, though.

How to Replace the Batteries Recorder uses 3 LR44 (AG13) batteries that can be purchased at most retail/online stores. Remove screw from back of the recorder. Slide out the battery compartment lid.
