Answer:	I think what happens is that the recording is still resident but just ends with the *beep beep* of the battery dying. I've not paid attention lately to it, though.

Question:	Mine won't turn off? I hold down the play/pause button until it shuts down. But as soon as I let off the button it turns back on
Answer:	I'm assuming you have the owner's/operator's manual available. If you are following the instructions correctly for turning off the device, and it doesn't operate as specified in the manual, that would suggest a malfunctioning unit. I've seen some situations where a contact will stay "closed" which would be the equivalent of holding down the power button which might only RESTART the device (would APPEAR to shut off but then start back up). But first check the manual to be sure you're doing the shut-down correctly.

Soooo one night I recorded The Beast. A couple of days later I dialed his phone and when he answered I didn't say hello, I just hit play and let him converse with The Beast. Answer:	I haven't tried to. But it's possible if you have it set to the voice activated setting more than likely. I'd assume the battery would die if it was just on full blown record setting the whole time.

Answer:	Hi...The recorder is not always on. To turn it off, press and hold the round Play/Pause button and you will see a countdown on the monitor; 1...2...3, Bye, Bye. Then the monitor goes dark. I haven't set a passcode so to turn it on I press the same button until Welcome appears on the monitor.

Answer:	Just a note about recording into a dslr: the bitrate and sample rate you set on the zoom doesn't affect the bitrate and sample rate recorded onto the dslr file. Your dslr always determines the bitrate and sample rate. (IE: for most Canon's that's 44khz/16 bit). The audio quality from the zoom will be better than your on-camera mic simply because the microphone itself is higher quality, but don't expect to be recording 96khz/24 bit audio straight into your dslr's .mov files!
Question:	can I record a piece to video with the Zoom recording my voice and then synch it to video
Answer:	Sure thing. I use mine as a primary aiduo recorder for my Nikon D5300. I use the sound from the camera as areference track and then stnc the wave file from the Zoom to the video using Final Cut X. Works perfect with much better sound quality.

Answer:	You get roughly 12 hours on the 2GB micro SD card included, in MP3 320kbps. Quality is excellent. If you want WAV format your looking at about 2.5 hours with the stock card. Larger cards are cheap though so it's upgradable.

Answer:	Just connect the recorder to your PC with the USB cable attached. And the PC will recognize the recorder and pop 【Open U disk】, click it to open it. There will be a folder named RECORD, you just need to drag the files in or out. Then disconnect the recorder by clicking 【Pop out HS USB FlashDisk】. Open your recorder, you will find the files you just add in the folder 【Recordings library】and the files you drag out gone.

Answer:	This speaker is Bluetooth version 4.2. It says so in the user manual. It’s Sidon the reason it doesn’t pair too easily.

Answer:	Not sure, but presume that as long as GPS compatibility exists and Italy and Europe maps are installed it should workMust ensure Satellite ready and compatible

Answer:	I THINK they're the same unit. It's just that the "base" model comes with the latest map revision ... and no more. When the maps are revised ( updated ) you'd be notified that a revision is available but you'd need to buy the revision to download and install it in your unit. The alternative, "with lifetime maps" purchase costs a little more, but subsequent updates are provided at no further charge for the unit's "lifetime" (or for yours). I think the latter was a better buy and so that's what I chose.Happy trails!
Question:	I need a wall charger for the wohlman digital recorder 16 gb
Answer:	Yes, It comes with a suction cup mount, and a short USB charging cord. But an Iphone charger will also work if it's got the mini USB plug. The mount worked great as you can leave it on the window and clip/unclip the unit from it with ease. It also come with the car power cord.
Question:	Just received this today and am trying to set up. It seems to be stuck on the lock position. How do I get it off lock
Answer:	Mine included the "traffic avoidance and detour recommendations" feature. Not sure why some would state that it wasn't included. Perhaps they weren't using the required power cord. This feature requires the car adapter power cord that is included with the unit for the feature to work. If you try to use a different power cord, the feature is disabled.

Answer:	1. The time and date are saved, but only the date is indicated on the audio file. You can have it show the time it was recorded as you play it back (or time elapsed/remaining).2. Yes. There's a calendar and you can select a day and it'll show all the files recorded that day. Very handy feature.

Answer:	No. I read thru the Sony user manual and could find no mention of a backlite feature. I did not see a backlite button on the device either.

Question:	Hows the recording quality if device is kept in the pocket
Answer:	You'll likely hear loud rustling every time you move, but it should be expected. If you leave it in your breast pocket, the quality might be muffled depending on how much room you give the mics. Leaving it in pant pockets will pick up normal/loud conversations in close proximity if you stay perfectly still on account of the magnified rustling noise. Increasing the mic. sensitivity to high will improve voice pick up, but it will also intensify the rustling sound. As a solution, you can use a lapel or external mic. for the best result.

Answer:	Not sure, we are in Kansas. I would think it would pull the map of the area in which it is being used. We are very pleased with this unit, we have had a good signal for a distance of over 5 miles.
