10 best hd two way radios
HD two-way radios, also known as digital two-way radios, are advanced communication devices used for transmitting and receiving voice and data in a digital format. These radios are commonly used in various industries and settings, including public safety, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and more. Here are some key features and benefits of HD two-way radios:
Digital Communication: HD two-way radios use digital modulation techniques to transmit and receive signals. This results in clearer and more reliable audio quality compared to analog radios, which can be prone to static and interference.
Enhanced Range: Digital radios often have a longer communication range compared to analog radios, thanks to improved signal processing and error correction. This extended range can be crucial in situations where communication over long distances is required.
Secure Communication: Digital two-way radios can offer enhanced security features such as encryption, making it more difficult for unauthorized listeners to eavesdrop on conversations. This is especially important for industries like public safety and government.
Advanced Features: HD two-way radios often come with advanced features such as text messaging, GPS tracking, and the ability to send data packets. These features can improve coordination and situational awareness among users.
Efficient Spectrum Use: Digital radios make more efficient use of available radio spectrum, allowing for more channels within the same bandwidth. This means that more users can communicate simultaneously without interference.
Longer Battery Life: Digital radios are generally more power-efficient than analog radios, which can result in longer battery life. This is essential for users who rely on their radios for extended periods.
Compatibility: Many HD two-way radios are backward-compatible with analog radios. This means that organizations can transition to digital radios gradually without needing to replace their entire radio fleet immediately.
Rugged Design: HD two-way radios are often designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, including water and dust resistance. This makes them suitable for use in outdoor and challenging work environments.
Programming Flexibility: Digital radios can be more easily programmed and configured to meet the specific needs of users and organizations, including customizing channels and features.
Interoperability: Some digital radio standards, like DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) and P25 (Project 25), are designed to ensure interoperability between different manufacturers' radios, allowing for seamless communication in mixed fleets.
Overall, HD two-way radios offer significant advantages over their analog counterparts, including improved audio quality, enhanced security, and a range of advanced features. They are widely used in professional settings where reliable and efficient communication is essential.

Answer: | About 5" |
Question: | what does the set contain |
Answer: | (2) FSR Walkie-talkies (1) Y shaped (wall-> 2 micro USB) charging call (2) Rechargeable Batteries (2) Belt Clips (2) Single ear earbuds with PTT mic (1) Carry case (1) User Manual (EN/FR) (1) Accessory Sheet (EN/FR) |
Question: | how many watts are the radios |
Answer: | 2 watts gmrs. 0.5 watts frs. reference: https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=2559372 |
Question: | Can someone tell me what the real, actual approximate range is on these |
Answer: | There are certainly many different choices available to folks regarding radio choices. Many consumers, however, fall into the trap of believing the misleading advertising that various manufacturer’s use to help sell their products, especially when they are in panic mode due to a natural disaster (like an earthquake) or (currently) various lock-down scenarios due to the latest overseas virus. One frequently used example of this buying trap are the claims of 35 to 50 mile range from 1/2 watt UHF FRS/GMRS handheld radios with non-removable antennas (frequently seen on various Cobra, Midland, Motorola, and Uniden radios sold at various big box stores or on the internet). At UHF frequencies (and with a decent antenna), you’ll normally get around 1 mile of range for every 1 watt of power on transmit, so a 1/2 watt big box store FRS/GMRS radio is likely to get only 1/2 mile of range, nowhere near the 35 to 50 mile claims shown on the box in large type (with the phrase “under optimum conditions” shown in very small type). What that means is that if one individual is standing near the cliff face on a tall 9,000 ft. high mountain and his friend is doing the same thing 35 miles away (with nothing between the two mountains but air), then they “may” get the 35 mile range as advertised. When both individuals are at ground level, normal range is reduced to a 1/2 mile (or less) depending upon obstructions that may be in their way. |

Question: | the picture shows two radios, does the order come with two or one |

User questions & answers
Question: | can you also use AA batteries to power these radios |
Answer: | Yes you can, however the output power will drop drastically (form 5 to I think about 2W) with no indication on the display - it would still show “H” for High power. With the included battery pack though (which is essentially 5 1.2 NiMH AAA batteries in series) it achieves 5W transmit power. Which means if you buy it because of 5W output you must use battery pack. However battery pack does not last long. It is only 700mAh. Radio consumes 42mA on standby. So about 16 hours standby time if you don’t transmit. Charding time on the other hand is 12 hours. Make your own conclusions. |
Question: | what is the best REAL range I can expect |
Answer: | There are certainly many different choices available to folks regarding radio choices. Many consumers, however, fall into the trap of believing the misleading advertising that various manufacturer’s use to help sell their products, especially when they are in panic mode due to a natural disaster (like an earthquake) or (currently) various lock-down scenarios due to the latest overseas virus. Question: | How much range can I expect from these radios in rugged, mountainous and forested terrain |
Answer: | Expect |
Question: | do I need a gmrs license |
Answer: | I called the FCC. If the radio goes beyond 2 watts, even if you are only using the lower-power channels, you still need to spend the $70 for the 10 year license. immediate family can use radios with your license (and you on the channel). GMRS will make for a better experience. I would just get it to be safe. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the charging cable usb 2 to charge in the car or pc, etc |
Answer: | All natural ingredients and lanolin free! Here are the ingredients:Olea europaea (organic olive) oil, Theobroma cacao (organic cocoa) seed butter, Butyrospermum parkii (organic shea) butter, Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, Mangifera indica (mango) butter, Calendula officinalis (organic calendula) flower extract |
Question: | The page lists the battery as LI-Ion in one spot, and NI-MH in another....which one is it |
Answer: | I used nursing pads for a long time, but towards the end I didn't and I don't remember after washing them there being a stain. But if it does stain your bras this product is well worth it!!! |
Question: | A pair of radios and two chargers |
Answer: | Hi I work with butters and oils and make handmade products. The grainy texture is normal, this is the Shea butter. Shea butter that is raw and unrefined is notorious for creating a bead like grainy texture once it melts and hardens but it is completely fine. It does not affect the quality or benefits of the product and still contains the skin nutrients your skin loves. On a side note, if refined shea was used then the product would never get grainy even if the heat melted it and hardened again however refined oils and butter generally have lost most if not all the nutrients in the oil or butter BUT will still moisturize your skin. Hope I cleared it up a bit. |
Question: | Did this come with case and headphones?like pic |
Answer: | Love this product. I used it with all 5 of my breastfeeding babies. They have another faces cream for that help eczema. The Angel baby butt balm also works for skin issues. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I need ones I can potentially charge by 12v in my car if need be..can these |
Answer: | I don't think so unless your car has a 110v socket which many newer models do have. Perhaps as a reader has suggested you can charge it using the micro USB port, but I don't know how that converts the 12v that comes out of your car into the 5v that the walkie talkies run on. |
Question: | Does this really work |
Answer: | They work perfectly for us through trees & hills & underground. We use them to communicate between two houses, & they even work from the cellar underneath the garage over to the next house. They work as far into the forest as we have walked from the house (not measured distance.) we leave them on all the time, & the batteries last about a week for our usage. Clear audio, easy to use. |
Question: | Are there replacement belt clips |
Answer: | Call customer service |
Question: | Is anybody else having trouble with the belt clips? Mine seem to barely clip on to the radios. They fall out of the holder very easily |
Answer: | Yes!!!!!! Great radio, BUT the belt clip keeps coming off the radio. Seems the piece that clips into the radio is too short. First hour I used the clip came undone and radio slid Accross the warehouse floor!! Is there a fix??? |
