Answer:	Hi I work with butters and oils and make handmade products. The grainy texture is normal, this is the Shea butter. Shea butter that is raw and unrefined is notorious for creating a bead like grainy texture once it melts and hardens but it is completely fine. It does not affect the quality or benefits of the product and still contains the skin nutrients your skin loves. On a side note, if refined shea was used then the product would never get grainy even if the heat melted it and hardened again however refined oils and butter generally have lost most if not all the nutrients in the oil or butter BUT will still moisturize your skin. Hope I cleared it up a bit.

Answer:	And no there is no 12v plug or anything. Just has a positive and negative for wiring to your power supply of your choosing. And yes to needing to be wired up which is easier than you think.

Answer:	The CB has two wires built in so all you would need is a cigarette lighter socket adapter and wire it up. The wires are about 4' long so you should have no problems where you mount it. The wiring is very easy - that's the set up I have so I can unplug and remove the CB when I'm just driving around locally.
Question:	Do i need to buy and antenna for this? Or does it come with one
Answer:	It needs an antenna regardless? There is no internal one? Is it ok to leave the small antenna inside the vehicle? Like in the trunk or glove box?

Answer:	The 520XL can also be taken to any CB shop and be "peaked and tuned" to over double the factory power. This is a very common practice that any trucker will do with his/her CB. This radio, peaked and tuned will deliver 8.5-9.0 watts with 17-18 watt peaks. This is more than twice the factory (legal) power, and adds significant range and clarity to your radio. As far as I am aware, there are no other compact radios on the market with the ability to be peaked and having the RF gain control in a compact unit is AWESOME. This radio is a gem. Answer:	Yes you can, however the output power will drop drastically (form 5 to I think about 2W) with no indication on the display - it would still show “H” for High power. With the included battery pack though (which is essentially 5 1.2 NiMH AAA batteries in series) it achieves 5W transmit power. Which means if you buy it because of 5W output you must use battery pack. However battery pack does not last long. It is only 700mAh. Radio consumes 42mA on standby. So about 16 hours standby time if you don’t transmit. Charding time on the other hand is 12 hours. Make your own conclusions.
Question:	what is the best REAL range I can expect
Answer:	There are certainly many different choices available to folks regarding radio choices. Many consumers, however, fall into the trap of believing the misleading advertising that various manufacturer’s use to help sell their products, especially when they are in panic mode due to a natural disaster (like an earthquake) or (currently) various lock-down scenarios due to the latest overseas virus. One frequently used example of this buying trap are the claims of 35 to 50 mile range from 1/2 watt UHF FRS/GMRS handheld radios with non-removable antennas (frequently seen on various Cobra, Midland, Motorola, and Uniden radios sold at various big box stores or on the internet). At UHF frequencies (and with a decent antenna), you’ll normally get around 1 mile of range for every 1 watt of power on transmit, so a 1/2 watt big box store FRS/GMRS radio is likely to get only 1/2 mile of range, nowhere near the 35 to 50 mile claims shown on the box in large type (with the phrase “under optimum conditions” shown in very small type). What that means is that if one individual is standing near the cliff face on a tall 9,000 ft. high mountain and his friend is doing the same thing 35 miles away (with nothing between the two mountains but air), then they “may” get the 35 mile range as advertised. When both individuals are at ground level, normal range is reduced to a 1/2 mile (or less) depending upon obstructions that may be in their way.

Answer:	These devices have the ability to communicate with any Walkie Talkie tuned to the same channel. they have 36 channels and 121 privacy codes. They are not locked to each other. I have used mine with a buddy's set of Motorola Walkie talkies and they work fine together. I believe I have had around 8 different devices on the same channel and everyone was able to communicate with each other.
Question:	Why does it say 30 mile range if it only reaches 3 to 4 blocks in city & open space is a couple miles? Seems like dishonest advertising
Answer:	It's hard to answer this question without adding some basics of radio. These gadgets (FRS Band) operate @ 462+ MHz and indeed is close to "line of sight" (with no obstructions) use, as is everything in this frequency range - this is one of those "Mother Nature is a Bi&$%" things. Couple that with their 500 Mw (1/2 watt) output and it's easy to become disappointed with the range offered. Remember, manufacturers love to tout the best case scenario for their products.Bottom line, these are kiddie toys unless paired with a more powerful (and licensed, as I am) GMRS (Ground Mobile Radio Service) base station using a decent antenna. GMRS licenses are $75 for 5 years and allow operating with up to 50 watts on Ch. 15-22 in this band.de kd5zes

Answer:	I'd stay 5' apart while doing so. Loudest cafe I've been in is the King's Road Cafe ... 1/2 mile east of Beverly Hills and 5 block east of Cedars Sinai and the Beverly Mall on Beverly Boulevard in LA. This is a bustling, rustic place that roasts it's own coffee beans and has the best coffee I've ever had in the USA ... the equal to a typical coffee in Switzerland ... $3 for a HUGE pink cup (1/2 coffee and 1/2 steamed milk). And the food is fabulous and reasonable (try well-done salmon atop a veggie salad). The crowd is eclectic ... you may see well-known entertainers at lunch (Renee Zellweger used to hang there). But the noise is DEAFENING! Better to snag a tiny outside table on the sidewalk, just feet from the traffic. And parking is on the street and sparse. Great fun, tho ... just watch out for young gang bangers at night who sneak up and grab rich ladies' bags off their chairs at the outdoor tables ... saw this once. So at night, be sure to eat INSIDE.

Answer:	ANTENNA ANTENNA ANTENNA The extra watts will do less to improve transmission and reception than a quality antenna. As others have said, to increase your signal strength at the receiving radio by one S unit you have to quadruple the power output. The difference between the UV-5R standard radio and the "8 watt" "high power" radios is only a doubling of power. If you are on the move use the Nagoya 771 antenna (and watch you don't poke out your eye). Answer:	With the included antenna, you will get about 10 kilometers on open area land. About 5 kilometers in suburban settings. In urban settings, aabout a kilometer or two. In a boat, a bit further than 10kilometers. With the Nagoya extended antenna, you can make 20 kilometers, more or less, on open ground. However, use an external antenna on the roof of a building and you can double that range! Power does increase range. But, antenna increases range far more than more power.

Answer:	You can program these for whatever frequencies you want by downloading CHIRP and modifying the radio drivers with a text editor... Then just change the frequency range to 900mhz or whatever you want... I would not suggest trying to transmit at those frequencies but people have had some success with receiving frequencies out of band that way... Answer:	You cannot use this radio in any unlicensed frequency. It is not type accepted for any radio service and is therefore illegal to sell, advertise, market, or ship to anywhere in the US. It is probably legal to use in a Ham band if you have a ham license. Ham licenses come with some great benefits, such as being able to use un-aproved radios, it is well worth the effort to get one. BTW, I have two of these radios. They work about as well as a UV-5R, of which they are a derivative They just over-powered a 5 watt radio to make it spit out 8 watts. It gets you VERY little extra distance and the transmission is really really dirty. It blows all over the 2 meter bands. If you want to see what the FCC does to out of service marketing Google "FCC DA-18-980A1". This radio has no legal use in the US except on the ham bands by hams. It is very illegal to use for MURS and FRS, and not even OK for FMRS. It transmits so dirty it is pretty obvious to anyone with a good HR rig with a display or an FCC truck that you are using a BF-F8HP. It's got a rather unique signal signature. If you want a Baofeng get one of these. They are all certified part 90 which makes them legal to sell and ship, and no questions about using them for Ham use. And get a ham license, it really opens up your options. If your Kenwood audio output is 8 ohms, it should work. Also, if your Kenwood has a larger 1/4" receptacle, you may need an adapter plug. Hope this helps.
