Answer:	It is probably not the radio's fault, and buying a new radio probably won't help. In this age of LED lighting all radios are susceptible to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). LED lights are the biggest culprits, even though FCC regulations say appliances cannot emit radio interference. The Chinese manufacturers ignore these regulations and the FCC does not have the budget to enforce its own regulations. So here is what you can do: identify the offending LED(s). 1)Turn on a battery powered portable radio to a weak AM station where you are getting lots of interference. 2) Go to your house circuit breaker panel and turn off one breaker at a time. If the reception improves with one circuit breaker off, find that circuit in the house; 3) Radio in hand, with the circuit back on, and all other circuits turned off, use the radio to find the offending source(s); 4) Remove the offending source(s) from the circuit (unplug or turn off) and see if it improves reception; 5) Do this for each circuit which produces RFI. Question:	Will I need converter for Europe voltage 230 V 50 Hz
Answer:	Yes you will Mike. I believe you will need a step down transformer as I did in New Zealand where the NZ Voltage is also 230 V 50 HZ. As the radio is made in the USA where they have 120V 60 Hz if you don't use the step down transformer there will be too much power supplied to the radio so it could be severely damaged. Paul.
Question:	What's the difference between both Sangean models
Answer:	the wr 11 model is a manual tune radio with the old fashioned slide rule tuning, the wr2 is a digitally tuned model similar to modern car radios..including theability to preset the channels you listen to most.
Question:	My Fm reception is poor. How can it be improved
Answer:	Try the external antenna (extended, switch it to external). Try another location in the house for the radio. Try orienting the antenna differently and at least a foot away from large metal objects (which could change the nature of the antenna or block the signal). Try using a dipole antenna located remotely, higher, or in the clear with respect to the desired station. This may mean a getting a balun ($5), some coax (several dollars), and a folded FM dipole antenna ($7). Finally, consider putting an RF preamplifier between the folded dipole antenna and the radio. If none of that helps, you have a difficult location, a faulty radio, or a requirement to receive a station with too weak a signal to your location.When it's finally working and you realize that it has a serious deficit in fidelity (muddy, bassy, little midrange, no highs), as I did, put a more ordinary radio nearby and turn it up just enough to hear the midrange and highs. The combined sound will be a lot more like you had hoped for to begin with. I am profoundly displeased with the lack of audio fidelity and range in this radio. It is essentially a subwoofer with a tuner and not much more. How people rate it so highly is a complete and utter mystery to me. A profound ignorance of audio fidelity in the population at large, I guess.
Question:	How does the sound compare to a Tivoli Model 1 radio
Answer:	I have a much older Tivoli model one. The volume control no longer works properly. Yes the Tivoli one has a greater depth of sound. But the price point was important to me as this radio gets minimal use. So I am pleased with the purchase. Check consumer reviews for the Tivoli model one.

Answer:	The unit has auto-dim and adjusts when dark, then back to normal when light. Note: I mention in a prior post that Yamaha does not support/update their Apple app. You may have issues using the app to control settings such as daily alarms as the app will not recognize bluetooth connection to the clock.
Question:	does the unit have a sleep timmer, to turn the radio off after a pre selected time
Answer:	It has a sleep timer than can turn the radio off after 30, 45, or 60 minutes. It is invoked by a simple touch of the snooze button and it even disconnects your Bluetooth when it shuts off. For me this pauses my phone's playback so I don't waste bandwidth or lose my place in my audio book.
Question:	How loud are the buttons? If you had to set them with someone sleeping next to you
Answer:	Not sure what you mean by "loud", but I always set the alarm through my iPhone app. The Bluetooth needs to be activated through its dedicated button for this to work.

Answer:	Do you mean one-track repeat ? please check the 3rd image of the product. there is a repeat icon on the right-down conner of the screen. you can press the button beside this icon to choose one-track repeat on/off. and there is a one-hour sleep timer feature. you can press the volume konb to turn it on and do not touch remote contral. then the device will turn off in an hour. I think it will be useful for you. if you do not need it turn off in an hour. just use the remote to turn on instead of pressing the knob.
