Answer:	My unit does not have A & B shown on the slide switch. Instead, it has NiMH printed near the slide switch, on the side farthest from the wall plug wire. I successfully charge my NiMH rechargeable batteries with the slide switch farthest from the plug-in wires.

Answer:	No. It just wouldn't charge.
Question:	There are no instructions and nothing lights up when plugged in. How do you know if this thing in on and charging, and when the charge is completed
Answer:	It runs on a timer. When you unplug it and plug it back it that starts the 6 hour charge cycle. When you put a battery in the light will turn red. After the 6 hour cycle the light will go out and it will switch to a trickle charge. 6 hours is good for AA and triple A batteries but, you may need to charge 9v batteries and D size for another cycle. 9 volt batteries work the same but have a green light instead of red and will stay lit as long as they are plugged in, even after the 6 hour cycle is complete.
