Answer:	The SSCS5 has respectable bass response for a bookshelf, down to 50 Hz or so, but I would highly recommend you pair with a decent subwoofer for best results. I use the SSCS5 in a 2.1 setup in our master bedroom and they absolutely slay for movies and music! The imaging and soundstage is spectacular. Really no need for a full surround setup if space is limited or you don’t want to monkey around with wiring rear speakers. However, pairing these with a good subwoofer makes a world of difference in the impact you will experience for movies. If you listen to a lot of electronic music, a good sub is a must.

Answer:	As far as studio monitors, you are correct, they are not completely neutral. They are very efficent speakers however and far exceed the power ratings Klipsch specifies. Their ideal situation is really for home theather rear or side channel surround sound as effects channels. They also make a very powerful, high-fi bookshelf companion for a mini system. I am currently using them in a 7.2 Atoms setup and they knock it out of the park. If you are truely looking for 1-1 studio monitors, Yahmaha is they way to go but have your checkbook ready. ;)

Answer:	Definitely yes, I have a Polk RM6750 subwoofer and 2 of this speakers with the matching center and they sound clear as water. Besides you can always lower your subs volume if its too much. Also remember the power your amp have is important, I'm using a Sony STR-DE335 amplifier which sends 100 watts per channel at 6 ohms and nothing has gone wrong yet. So far I have played music, movies and the morning news and I'm always happy about the clarity and loudness on only a 3.1 system. My guess is yours is going to sound much better with the 5.2 you are building. Nice pick and good luck with your shopping.

Bose sound very good use up less room and use more electronics to get their sound ,they are smaller if room is a problem . both sound very good for the price ,I want to save $30 so Im getting the Edifier the Bose will go back but I would be happy with either check out the Edifiers $99 self powered speakers

Answer:	Hi, We recommend that you use an amp that has at least 15 watts of power per channel. There are many compact Class-D amplifiers on the market that offers 30 to 50 watts of power and would work very well with the BS5 speakers.

Answer:	Hi, The dispersion of the BS5 speakers are similar to other bookshelf speakers with a similar box design and driver arrangement. They provide full range frequency response within about a 60-degree window. At wider angles, the high frequency will fall off more noticeably, same as other bookshelf speakers. However, the 60-degree listening window should cover the listening area of most home theater systems. To give you some idea of this, 10 feet away from the speaker, a 60 degree listening window covers a listening position span of 12 feet. In comparison, a standard 3-person sofa has a seating surface that is about 9 feet wide.

Answer:	I'm using them as front stereo speakers with a subwoofer in my living room. I use them for stereo music and we use them when watching movies. They should be plenty loud. You'll have to find the right balance with them if you are using a center channel. Otherwise they will work fine. I have these and an 8 inch Yamaha subwoofer and it fills the room with sound during music and movies.

As for the "single speaker" nonsense, even a base unit 5.1 system uses a center channel speaker for accurate reproduction of dialog. Mine are in a 16 X 18 foot room on 24 inch speaker stands, If you have a larger area then I would go with towers.

Answer:	The least expensive amplifier I would recommend is the Yamaha A-S-301 going up from there the Marantz PM 6005; Cambridge Audio CXA 60; Music Hall A-15.3. The problem with the Onkyo A-9150 is that its only rated at 30 watts RMS...These speakers require a little more power than that to sound there best...For sub-woofers depending on the size of your room...The smaller Polk Audio or the smaller Acoustic Audio subs should be sufficient in a smaller room. In a slightly larger room try the BIC America F-12 or maybe a Yamaha Sub. In a larger room you can use two subs...

Question:	What in your opinion is the best power setting for normal use, "on" or "auto" for this unit
Answer:	I would say depends if you use the item everyday/constantly as your sound for your surround. Or if you use surround/theater occasionally. If the latter I would use `on/off` , if you use it often or primarily the auto would be the way to go in my opinion. Plus is the sub easy to get to? Auto is great if its behind furniture or out of reach,etc.

Answer:	Just to clarify something a previous reviewer stated: "Note: If you are using a Sub out/LFE connection from your receiver turn the Low Pass all the way up. " This does not apply to receivers with which you can specify the low-pass cutover frequency. For example, my modest Onkyo receiver has cutover settings of 80/100/120 HZ for the LFE/Sub output. If you have this option, you should consult your main speaker's manual for suggested low-pass settings or simply tune them by ear. For my setup, 120 HZ was both the recommended and best-sounding cutover frequency. 160 HZ was a little muddy :)

Answer:	Like John, I too have a Vizio 2.0 sound bar and this pairs very well. I have a small theater room (10 x 20) and this one 10" fills the room. This sub is the best bang for the buck you can get.
Question:	Do I need a Y-adpater? A sound tech told me one sub wire would do the trick and just plug it into the L and ignore the R. Is this true
Answer:	Initially, used a one wire connection. Sounded OK, but .... Got a "Y" connector, attached at the rear of the amp, ran L & R wires to the PSW10: sounds amazing now and very adjustable. Need to get the PSW12 to get a one wire connection. Am very satisfied with this sub and would recommend it. Used in a 12' X 20' room, front/back/center and now the sub. Tom
