Answer:	The magnet might be a problem maneuvering in a tight magnetic area requiring precise navigation. However it hasn't presented any problems for me yet. First off, the magnet isn't so strong that it's been a factor and secondly, with the jaws extended or partially extended, the magnet is behind them so that might help in positioning it. Answer:	This model does not support radio or bird sounds. It only has a beep that gradually gets louder. The beeps progress to full loudness in about a minute.

Answer:	Yes, you can. My husband opened it up for me and snipped the speaker wire. I now use the light (across the room) and an alarm near my bed. It’s quite pleasant.

Answer:	The dimmest display setting is more dim that my previous clock, but still too bright for me to be happy with. Since I also sleep poorly unless the room is VERY dark, I wear my eye mask and can usually fall asleep this way. My mask falls off while I sleep almost every night, so the brightening light still wakes me in the morning! (For me, this is true about 13/14 nights.) With my old clock, I would layer Kleenex tissues over the display until it was just BARELY visible in the dark. This clock face is too tall for the tissue trick to work, but the orange glow is lighter than my old red display. Good luck!

Answer:	Cheryl, this clock has a high and low brightness setting switchable with a push button on the top of the clock. When set on high the time can be read in a brightly lit room. When set on low the time cannot be read in a brightly lit room but is great for at night as it does not light up our bedroom.

Answer:	Hold down the AL 1 or AL 2 button. When it starts flashing, use the hr/min button. Make sure it's on the am/pm. There is only a pm button, so if it's not lit up then you're on the am. And make sure you have the right alarm on. There's two alarms, so make sure you're set on the right one. Cheers!!
