Answer:	I am sorry Tina I never used the FM radio on these headphones. I bought it for the mp3 player. I will say if the radio works any where near as good as the mp3 player you will be happy. The mp3 player was easy to use, putting the songs on a memory card and slipping it into the headphones. I know this doesn't answer the question you asked but you might consider picking your own music and using the mp3 player. You will be pleasantly impressed, I was.
