Question:	Do samsung phones still have the issue where the phone forces the tile app to go to sleep even though the os is set to never allow tile app to sleep
Answer:	Yes. September 2020 and this is still a problem. I can never locate my phone with my key tag because of this. I have set the app to be able to locate on the background. In phone settings I have set it to 'never sleep'. Samsung and tile just don't get along. However, finding all the other stuff I lost works just fine. Just re open the app.

I assume that you want to find your smart phone around the house, apartment, friend's place, etc. I would just get a simple slip case for the phone and attach one of the receiver fobs to it. If the case is something soft, you can use a safety pin. Or punch a hole in the case and make a look with a string or cord through it, then slip the loop through the hole in the fob. As the other answers say, these are too thick to attach directly to the phone. As to the snarky answer, your smart phone may be the only phone you have at the time and you cannot call your phone.
