Answer:	Here's the deal on this adapter...some units come with a suction mount that requires this mini USB plug fit the mount ..it's big and bulky to fit perfectly ..but likely bulky with out...I'd choose a Garmin adapter which is small if you don't need bulk..they have a right angle and fit closer to the unit.....both are cheep
