Answer:	You can tap the top of the page to get menus. At the bottom there are 2 boxes. Tap either and you get multiple pages that you can still read, but slide over as any as you want. When you find where you want to be, tap the page and it goes to normal page at that page number. Hope this helps

Question:	There are mixed reviews on the battery life of the new Oasis. What are you new owners finding as you use yours
Answer:	My battery last a very long time. I keep my Oasis in airplane mode, except to sync or download, Bluetooth off, and I went to settings and turned on the inverted/dark mode which increased my battery life substantially. I read everyday on it for about 2 hours and I do not have to charge my Oasis except about every 1 and 1/2 to 2 weeks. However, I usually charge it every week even though it still may be at 30-40%. Charges fast as well. Believe me using the dark mode makes a huge difference!
Question:	Why is oasis over double the price of paperwhite, is addition of physical page turning buttons and 7" vs 6" display that significant a difference
Answer:	Simply put its the extra features and premium build. The page turn buttons (has both buttons and touchscreen) and 7” screen that you mentioned. The all aluminum and glass construction vs Paperwhite is all plastic is a big cost reason I think. The original ergonomic design that makes the bigger 7” screen model lighter weight than the Paperwhite. 25 LED lights vs Paperwhite has 5. Warm lights in addition to regular lights for color temperature control at night. Ability to set auto-adjust on the lighting, so that it adjusts brightness to surrounding lighting automatically. These are all wonderful features to have, but depending on how much a person reads and their budget, may not be worth the extra money for some. I am fortunate to have both this Oasis and a Paperwhite - and tend to use my Paperwhite more overall. It’s the one I don’t mind throwing in my purse on the way out the door, the smaller, less expensive one to travel with, and the one I mostly use by the pool and at the beach ( although both are waterproof). I guess I tend to protect the Oasis more as it was more of an investment. It is very enjoyable to read with, especially at night with the warm lighting. Whether you really need/want one over the Paperwhite is up to you 🙂

Answer:	Yes, there is an option for Simplified Chinese in the international version under "Language". Under "Keyboards" there are options for Simplified, Traditional and Traditional Zhuyin (Taiwan). It seems odd that Traditional Chinese is not offered as an option under "Language".

Answer:	I'm not sure what you mean by "normal" Kindle. But I bought the latest generation Paperwhite (10th Gen) as the international version. I live outside the US. The international doesn't come with the adverts and reading matter suggestions. I bought ths 8GB RAM version which is sufficient to store hundreds of books. I also bought the very light Amazon cover with it. Together they weigh a little over 200 grams. I can hardly feel the item in my hand when reading. What a pleasure. You won't be sorry if you bought one.

Answer:	Yes. The difference has to do with the 3g modem. The quick and dirty explanation is that American mobile networks use a technology called CDMA which doesn't work in other countries. Outside of the USA, a technology called GSM is used. GSM devices will still work in the USA, however, like this international version. This only applies to mobile networks (3g,4g,5g,etc) and not WiFi. Any version with WiFi would allow you to connect with any countries' WiFi, provided they're sharing it.

Answer:	It says so that it will work in Egypt.... but usually all hotels have blow dryers so I would NOT bother bringing a blow dryer from home that will serge and "fry" the blow dryer. These adapters will not protect the voltage changes for the dryer. If you will not be at a hotel, buy a blow dryer in Egypt. They have them and it is not worth the expense of a converter, nor the space the dryer takes up in your suitcase. Your iPhone should charge without a converter IF you bring your little electrical square adapter that fits on the iPhone charging cord. It is rated for 110-240 volts. So it would work on an adapter like this. I would check several travel source websites to see which adapters are perfect for Egypt. There is an adapter that it is multiple adapters all packaged into 1 block/cube. It is color coded and a map of the world with the associated colors where that individual adapter will work. So basically it is all that you need to travel the world. It is not expensive but is well worth not having the risk of having the wrong adapter or a collections of adapters sitting in a drawer.

Answer:	There is no Gen 10 2019. The Gen 10 came out in 2018. No updates to the Paperwhite have come out since 2018. This fits the Gen 10 2018 Paperwhite.

Answer:	Your audio will continue with the cover closed, audio has to be paused or stopped manually.
Question:	Is the sleep wake switch protected while case is closed
Answer:	The cover has a hard shell that the Paperwhite sits inside. The switch and charge opening are recessed inside the case opening and while you can access both with the cover closed, the area is protected by the hard frame of the case surrounding the opening. It doesn't wake up unless the cover is opened. I've used the slimshell case with my previous Paperwhite and never had an issue.

Answer:	Kindle uses mobi files, the nook uses ePub so they aren’t really compatible, however there are programs like “calibre” that can convert from one to the other for free without virusing up your pc. But if you have other kindles, your purchases will automatically show up in your library across all of your devices.

Answer:	There is a huge difference! Kindle fire is a tablet, you get apps, play games, look at social media. On the paperwhite, it’s just like reading a book. The screen is matted to prevent glare and to look more like paper. There is a web browser, but because that isn’t what this is meant for, it is not the best. I much prefer my paperwhite. It is lightweight, and when the cover is closed, it looks like a slim book.

Answer:	Yes! However unless you have it set to auto-download your stuff, they will show up in your library, but you May have to tap them to download them first.
