Answer:	I doubt that would be a good idea. The case is thick and the device buttons would down inside the hole you make.

Answer:	Unfortunately, Fintie has decided to go with a different style for the 2020 HD 8 / HD 8 Plus. The ring will not be available and, according to their customer support, the company only makes one case style per tablet, as the mold costs are high. You can get their latest offering for the Fire HD 8 by going to Amazon and typing in "B08FFPP6P7" (without the quotes) and see the new case. It uses a "kickstand" instead of the ring and does not rotate. The reason for this design, according to Fintie, is that it allows the protective case to be thinner and less bulky, which cannot be accomplished using the TuaTara Ring.

Since neither of these apply to a kindle there is no reason to use 2 hands. However, no reason not to use both hands when reading if that is your preference.

Question:	I purchased this case and i don't see that the auto/sleep wake works. do i have to do anything for this to work or should it automatically work
Answer:	When the case is closed the Kindle shuts down and goes to sleep. When the case is opened a message at the bottom middle says ‘waking up’, then it goes to ‘swipe to open’. Mine is older and just says swipe to open. Has to be closed and opened for it to work. If it’s left open and it shuts down you have to close the case for a bit and then reopen. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The fitted part of the case has a slight overhang on the sides and corners. The case does not reach the front edges at the top and bottom of the kindle. Since the cover is attached it hasn’t been an issue.

Answer:	The magnets work fine for keeping the case closed. When the case is folded back, the magnets do nothing, they must be in the shut position to engage. I really like this case and have purchased several for various devices.
