Answer:	I got my Kindle Fire in 2014 and this case was just a little bit too big for it. Don't know what generation it is. I bought an Origami case which will only fit the Kindle Fire 7" and I really like it.

Answer:	You'll need to check the Versavu website for specific information and model number for the case to fit your Kindle. Sometimes the Amazon vendors don't know. I've bought two and both cases were mislabeled -- neither fit the Kindle I bought them for. One fit our older first generation Kindle Fire HD (made in 2012) perfectly -- but I was trying to buy one for the later 2014 Kindle Fire HD. Another vendor sent us a Versavu case for the discontinued Kindle Fire, before the HD models. Great cases -- very versatile and durable, and protect the Kindles well even when dropped on hard floors. But be sure to get the Versavu case that fits correctly because they're molded to the precise dimensions, and locations of control buttons and camera.
