The first time you use the keyboard:

1.Please fully charge the keyboard until the charge inditor goes out.

2.Turn on the Bluetooth function of the iPad.

3.Turn on the keyboard power.

4.Press Connect button into Bluetooth matching condition, the Bluetooth indicator light will flash.

5.Search ""BT 3.0 Keyboard"" for matching iPad to keyboard.

6.Now keyboard is matched with iPad, the Bluetooth indicator light goes out.



The second time you use the keyboard:

You only need to open the keyboard and iPad power, press any key on the keyboard. Then it will automatically connect.

(No need to click BT 3.0 Keyboard and press Connect key. Otherwise, it will show not connect)

Note: The keyboard will automatically go into power savings mode after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Answer:	So there seems to be conflicting answers to this question. Using this with my MacBook Pro. I just purchased this and while the keypad works with the numbers, it does not allow you to use the NumLck (Num Lock) key to use the key pad for the arrows. The answer by The Pothole, refers to using the arrow keys below the right shift being pressed at the same time as the "fn" key. it does work.

If you don't need a keyboard and also like to read, I'd suggest looking at one of the Fintie Rotating Cases (such as B071WPG8DK) as the rotating feature can really come in handy. I've used both successfully on very long commutes, trips, and at work with some wear starting to show on the spine edges and corners.
