| Answer: | GOOD LUCK....this system constantly changes from 2.4 ghz to 5 ghz and if you have 2.4 ghz devices that need to communicate with 5 ghz you're out of luck, I have a 2.4 ghz printer and a porch camera which connect to this mesh system, however, my phone and laptop connect to 5 ghz and will not communicate with anything 2.4 ghz and there's no way to change the frequency in the MeshForce system, it's fully automatic. I have a Roku stick 3 ft. away from this stupid thing and it connects on 2.4 ghz and because of that, I can't stream anything from my phone and laptop because they always connect at 5 ghz, it's totally random and sux...stay away |

| Answer: | Longer answer - While technically it will not boost your speeds, it will improve your signal degradation over distances. For example if you subscribe to 40 Mbps service, you should get this speed close to the router, however the further away you get the less percentage of this speed you will achieve. With a standard router, at about 20' from the router you may have a 25% speed loss and only get 30 Mbps, but this router would keep you much closer to the 40 you subscribe to over much further distances. |
