| Answer: | Amplifi (Ubiquiti) answer is very misleading. Everything they said is technically true, but it is worth noting that the Mesh Points are ONLY AC on the High Density system. Every other one, including the Long Range, are 802.11N. The main router is the only part that is AC. That is why it is cheaper because the Mesh Points are the older tech. Be very aware that you will see dramatically slower speeds if connected to one of the slower Mesh Points in the Long Range. I do not recommend purchasing anything other than the High Density system as that is the most current technology and is the most future proof. |

I re-checked my purchase which was the base unit and mesh point (2 parts) and it now points to the base unit only(!!!). If I recall, the base unit alone was around $99 and the base unit + mesh point was around $180. https://www.amplifi.com/instant/ is what you should see price wise. I can say that this system (router + mesh point) work really really well and are easy to setup. I got it as a gift for a family member. I have the HD system, at home which has worked without any issues of any kind for several years. You are picking the right unit. The only odd thing is how Amazon is selling it so be careful. It might be on backorder since I know it is popular and that is why it is displaying odd. Either way, ensure the picture shows both units and expect to pay close to what amplifi is selling them for on their site. I hope this helps. |

| Answer: | I already had the Aplifi HD mesh kit and I used this Instant standalone to add an Ethernet port to my media center so I could enable open NAT to use Xbox Streaming. A huge perk for me: Adding this one device expanded my range and allowed me to re-position my existing mesh antennas; this allowed me to change from 2.4ghz backbone to 5ghz. Doing so quadrupled my overall network bandwidth while also increasing the signal strength to the whole house! Talk about a Win/Win! Please note that the Instant Mesh kit which includes this router and an additional mesh antenna are NOT able to do this. |

| Answer: | I have used both Spectrum and AT&T 1Gb services. The Spectrum service is not as reliable due to the lower quality cable router used on 1Gb installs. AT&T produced good results 100Mb to 250Mb over WiFi. |
