3 best signal boosters
Signal boosters, also known as cell phone signal boosters or network signal repeaters, are electronic devices designed to enhance and improve the quality and strength of wireless signals for various types of communication networks. These devices are commonly used to address issues related to poor or weak signal reception in homes, offices, and other indoor or remote locations. Here's what you need to know about signal boosters:
How Signal Boosters Work: Signal boosters work by capturing weak signals from nearby cell towers or Wi-Fi routers, amplifying those signals, and then rebroadcasting them within a specific area. This process helps extend wireless coverage and improve signal quality for devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other wireless-enabled devices.
Key Components: Signal boosters typically consist of three main components:
Outside Antenna: This antenna is installed outside the building or vehicle to capture the weak incoming signal.
Amplifier/Booster Unit: This unit amplifies the incoming signal, increasing its strength.
Inside Antenna: The inside antenna broadcasts the amplified signal within the designated coverage area.
Types of Signal Boosters: There are different types of signal boosters designed for various purposes:
Cellular Signal Boosters: These boosters are used to improve mobile phone signal reception, especially in areas with weak or no cellular coverage. They work with different cellular networks (e.g., 4G LTE, 5G, CDMA, GSM) and can be used in homes, offices, vehicles, and even in remote areas.
Wi-Fi Signal Boosters: These devices are used to extend Wi-Fi coverage in homes or businesses. They can help eliminate Wi-Fi dead zones and improve internet connectivity in larger or multi-story buildings.
Benefits:
- Improved Signal Strength: Signal boosters can significantly enhance signal strength, resulting in fewer dropped calls, faster data speeds, and improved call quality.
- Enhanced Coverage: They can expand wireless coverage in areas with poor signal reception, providing better connectivity for multiple devices.
- Better Data Speeds: With a stronger signal, users can experience faster data downloads and smoother internet browsing.
- Reduced Interference: In some cases, signal boosters can help reduce interference and improve signal stability.
Installation and Usage: Proper installation is crucial for the effective operation of signal boosters.Users should follow the manufacturer's instructions and consider factors such as antenna placement, signal strength measurement, and signal frequency compatibility.
Regulations: It's important to be aware of regulations governing the use of signal boosters, especially for cellular signal boosters. In some regions, there may be licensing requirements or restrictions to prevent interference with wireless networks.
In summary, signal boosters are valuable devices that can enhance wireless signal quality and coverage for cellular and Wi-Fi networks. They are used in various settings to address signal reception issues and provide better connectivity for users and their devices.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you buy the 1 antenna kit (indoor) and add another one later |
Answer: | Sure. Feel free to contact us and we can help arrange whatever you need after the purchase. You can text or call 949-449-2290 and we can help you get whatever you need (additional cable, antenna(s) and splitter). |
Question: | Am I able to use the cel-fi go x cellular signal booster with multiple cell phones at the same time? Both cell phones are on the same carrier |
Answer: | Yes and it works great We have 4 devices that we use at once and have had no problems. |
Question: | Will this booster work with at&t's firstnet network |
Answer: | It does work with AT&T, so if AT&T's version of FirstNet works on the same frequency spectrum, then I presume so. If FirstNet is on different frequencies, then perhaps not. In any event, I would contact the seller with this question. They are very knowledgeable about the GO-X and I'm sure they could address your question more precisely. Sean is a good technical contact there. |
Question: | At our house we have one phone on Verizon and the other is AT&t can this boost signal for both at the same time or does it have to be set for one |
Answer: | Unfortunately it can only boost one carrier at a time. If you'd like to boost both carriers, you can purchase 2 kits and install them both. |
Product features
1. Install Outdoor Antenna
The most important part of installing your GO X is finding the outdoor location with the best outdoor signal. The Cel-Fi Wave app allows you to test and find the perfect location.
2. Mount & Install Cel-Fi GO X
After the Outdoor Antenna is installed, mount and connect the Cel-Fi GO X indoors, either in an attic, a closet, or somewhere out of the way.
3. Install Dome or Panel Antenna
Mount either the included dome or panel antenna inside the building. Dome antennas are installed in a ceiling, while panel antennas are wall-mounted. We include both, just choose which you want to use.
Cel-Fi WAVE App
The innovative Cel-Fi WAVE app gives you complete control over your Cel-Fi GO X. You can select which carrier to boost, which bands the device amplifies, and view detailed diagnostic information.
Please note: You will need internet access to download the Wave app.
WAVE app features include:
The GO X requires 1 to 2 bars of reliable, usable signal outdoors
The Cel-Fi GO X will amplify and bring in whatever signal you have outdoors. It’s critical that you have at least 1-2 bars of reliable, usable signal outdoors in order to get reliable signal indoors.
We recommend testing your signal outdoors before purchasing.
The GO X does not support Sprint or Verizon 2G/3G Service
Sprint users: The GO X does not support Sprint at this time.
Verizon users: The Cel-Fi GO X only amplifies Verizon LTE voice and data signal, not older 2G or 3G service. You must have 1-2 bars of reliable, usable 4G LTE signal outdoors for the GO X to work.
Kits include both Panel and Dome Antennas
Dome Antennas spread signal in all directions. To install a dome antenna, you need access to the back side of the ceiling (e.g. a loft or crawl space) to run cable.
Panel Antennas direct signal in the direction they are pointing. They can be installed on a wall.
We include both antennas in our kits - pick which one you want to use and discard the other.

User questions & answers
Question: | My family has two appartments next to each other, both separate electrical installations. Would this work if we wanted to split the internet bill |
Answer: | Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID. |
Question: | Has anyone connected a ps4 of xbox one to the wifi from the range extender? if so, signal and game play any good |
Answer: | If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no. |
Question: | Does it create a new sid or does it exteneded your current sid, so one does not have to switch to differing networks when in range |
Answer: | the input voltage is from 100 to 240 volts |
Question: | I don't understand how some people give this 4-5 stars and others can't get it to work and give it 1 star |
Answer: | there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself. |
