But you must remember that this Belkin N150 Micro Wireless Usb Adapter is an 802.11n.I can't tell you that it will work in full speed at distance of 5 feet, but if you insert the usb adapter in the closest side from your router (e.g.: I use mine in the usb port in the right side of my laptop and my router is located in a room right next to my laptop) but it will work better, I've tried it, and when I install it on the left side of my laptop the speed falls to half.If you use an USB 3.0 port on your laptop, it will work faster too. IF you are asking can you use this to plug into the printer so your computer can connect wirelessly (making the printer go from a wired printer to a wireless printer) -- I would need significantly more information than provided. The likely answer is NO. However, some printers support usb functionality such as hard drives, etc... however, in all those situations they are recently made and I would imagine that wireless is already built into them. I have never heard of a situation where this was possible. There are ways to connect a wired printer to your wireless network system and have it respond like a wireless printer.
