You click on the setup file within the downloaded set of files and it will successfully install. Note that it will tell you initially that the driver is unsecured/unpublished, and while that seems scary, if you continue, it does install an actual Realtek driver via the typical InstallShield wizard. Once it's finished, you will then have a Realtek 5.0 adapter show up under Bluetooth in Device Manager. If you don't install the driver, then you will only see a Generic adapter under Bluetooth in Device Manager (and a few other Microsoft related entries). Answer:	Yes it does, well at least mine did. I plugged mine into one of the switched outlets on the back of the amplifier so when I turn it on it comes on as well. And it seems to work well.

Answer:	Yes, the one I received plugs into a regular 110 home wall outlet. There is no USB power adapter included even though some of the older answers said that there was. The plug is however converting from 110 to 5V DC so it may be possible to splice in a USB plug since most USB outlets are putting out 5V. I may actually try that since I need to use it in my car.

Important Notes for use with PS4 and Nintendo Switch:

Q1. Why am I experiencing shorter-than-expected range and / or the audio cutting in and out?

The Avantree Leaf uses a Class 1 CSR chipset specified at 20m / 60ft in an OPEN FIELD environment without any walls or floors in the way. Here are some common causes of short range / unstable audio for the Leaf:

• The range depends on BOTH the transmitting and receiving device. Please test your receiving Bluetooth device with a mobile phone to confirm the range is acceptable. Operation range can be affected by physical obstructions (walls, people, etc.), wireless interference (Wi-Fi routers, Wireless TV adapters, etc).
• An UNSTABLE Bluetooth connection can cause range and audio issues. Please reset / clear the pairing history of BOTH DEVICES and re-pair / connect them again.
• If you've plugged the Leaf into a USB 3.0 port, please change to another (preferably non 3.0) USB port. The USB 3.0 standard has known interference issues with Bluetooth.
• Audio issues can be caused by a slow internet connection if you are streaming content (video or music) from an ONLINE source. Please check your internet speed is acceptable.
• Unstable power output from the USB port can also cause range and audio issues. If you're using a desktop computer, please try a USB port on the back of the computer using the extension cable. You can also try using a USB hub with a power adapter.

Q2. How can I stream Music and Talk simultaneously?

• The FastStream codec allows both music and talk channels to work simultaneously.
• The Leaf supports FastStream and if used together with a FastStream compatible headphone will deliver much better stereo sound while in TALK mode.

Answer:	Hi. Yes it does work with my Dell linux laptop with either the USB 1.0 or the USB 2.0 ports. It comes with a cd with drivers but it wasnt needed because the drivers in Ubuntu or Kubuntu Linux OS detected it as soon as it was installed.

Answer:	I would think it's not recommended because it's a potential security breach, assuming your company computer even lets you use it. You would be bridging your company's ultra secure network to an insecure external network which can expose your company's network to breaches. It likely would be against security policy and in many companies could be grounds for dismissal.

Answer:	The official Bluetooth specifications state seven is the maximum number of Bluetooth devices that can be connected at once. However, three to four devices is a practical limit, depending on the types of devices and profiles are used. I could be showing my age here but I think 108.8 kilobits per second (in each direction) is the maximum throughput. That should be fine for headphones + controller.

Answer:	I use it on an old Dell laptop with an “unsupported” copy pet Dell, of W10 & early-generation USB ports. It syncs up with my Vizio but I haven’t tried it on the Vizio’s USB port. I can say it works great on the Dell. I loaded the included driver & it synced right up with a Bluetooth Microsoft mouse, three IOS devices, & the Vizio.

Answer:	No. You shouldn’t need the counterpoise for a vehicle installation. The counterpoise is for mounting to something like a metal railing on the outside of a building, or portable operation. The base kit is for VHF/UHF operation, and works well. It doesn’t do anything for HF operation. The ATAS-120a isn’t designed to work with a mag amount. It’s much too heavy.

I did call the support number and they confirmed that it wasn't happening and that Windows 8/8.1 blows. They suggested I downgrade to Windows 7. If I do downgrade to 7 it won't be to get this $15 part to work- it will be to stop the nightmarish experience of Windows 8. The number for support is 1-812-282-2787. And yes (I'm looking at you, smug sophisticated tech geeks) I should've known better, but I didn't and I hope this saves someone else a little trouble and $14.99. Dang that was a disappointing waste of time. Good luck.

Answer:	Well, I just installed it on my windows 7 64 bit on sarbnet USB 3.0 hub and it worked fine. Since they didn't mention it on amazon page, I ordered without reading this FAQ and I installed without reading manual too ;) First it gave me error to disable inbuilt bluetooth and reboot. Of Course you first need to disable inbuilt-usb device as per manual. Only one bluetooth device works at a time as I tried with two bluetooth and it doesn't work. I wonder if their ASUS official driver will make any speed difference but as now it gives me better connection to my bludetooth 4.1 headphone device . I am happy with this device
