The public partition will open immediately .. and then you just place your thumb on the drive.. wait a few seconds.. then the secure partition will open. I put a test file on each partition and they both opened properly. 10/2/20 . Perhaps an earlier version did not. I also used it with the Apple ( not a knockoff) Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter. and accessed it with the "Files" app.

Answer:	It is a fingerprint scanner. It scans your fingerprints then sends the data to a PC to check for security authorization for access. They are popular among law enforcement for comparing scanned prints to known criminals.

Answer:	I'm having the same issue and it seems there aren't updated drivers for Windows 10, so I can't get this thing installed. FYI, you can grab the latest drivers from their website, but they don't seem to work for me. I'm on Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview version 2004.

Answer:	Since it plugs into a USB port on your PC and all info is stored on the PC, I do not feel it’s an issue. To me it is just like if you bought a PC with this feature already on it. So if you fear the “dark web” bandits, secure your PC and this device should be secure as well and unplug it and put in a secure place until you are ready to use your PC if you are that worried. Once you log on you can also remove it and secure it.

Answer:	It should. I have used it for Maharashtra Leave &License registration. Do remember, you need to follow the installation instructions exactly and will need to send a mail to secugen ( and pay a small fee of Rs 500 or so) to register the device.

Answer:	It helps for jeevan pramaan authorisation. After buying we have to register with secugen india for rd services going to their web site .They will act very quickly .then it will work 100 percent . We have done it recently

The Guidelines for Start your Fingerprint to Windows Hello

1.Start from "Settings"=>"Accounts"

2."Sign-in Options", Fingerprint "Setup"

3.Need PIN code first; if no PIN code yet, Windows Hello will guide you to setup

4.Enroll and Register your fingerprint around 10~12 enrollments(touch, lift), Try to touch your finger by different area,not always touch by same finger area.





If you already installed previous version drivers

1.Uninstall driver first

2.Upgrade by INF(following Windows Hello Validation requirement)

3.Since we insert "Scheduler" in by registry keys,please "reboot" system to make those "run once" effective.

1.Windows Hello only allows 3 times fingerprint matching, If you failed to login in for 3 times or more, please switch to PIN code to login again.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. LastPass has support for Windows Biometric Framework, therefore it should work with ATKey.Hello. Question:	Does this work with last pass
Answer:	Yes the EcoID fingerprint reader does work with LastPass. Note that I believe LastPass charges a small fee to use biometrics with their software. But that may be depend on the version you use/purchased ? It has been tested at BIO-key LastPass.
Question:	Does this device support Mac OS
Answer:	According to their website it is Windows 7, 8.1, and 10.
Question:	Where can I get software to use this in browsers so that I simply scan my finger and it inputs username and password and logs me in automatically
Answer:	I don't believe the hardware OEM provides any software. Most of the drivers are on the OS side. Win 10, in my case. I would check with your operating system help pages to see what it supports. One tip, on another topic, on this product though. Since the reader pad is small, you'll find that using the thumb--versus other digits--improves performance. It gives the drivers more data points to read so you don't have to move your fingers as much.

Answer:	Yes, depends on form.
Question:	Does it work with Roboform
Answer:	No at this moment.Driver currently support only windows. In case linux native level support fingerprint then probably this should work.
Question:	Is device compatible with LastPass password management
Answer:	The VeriMark USB Fingerprint Key is not supported on Mac OS. It will only work on Windows 7, 8.1, and 10.
