Answer:	This might be tight. I would go to one of the traditional leather products from one of the producers. Especially if your a FF. The nylon straps were a little too light for liking.

Answer:	It is really for a smaller radio. I bought it for a Bao Feng, which is pretty light compared to the XTS1500. I am a FF by occupation, and for the Motorola's XTS 1500 or other I prefer the leather cases, such as from Boston leather etc...I was not really happy with the strap either, and made some changes myself so it worked better for me. I am a tall person, and need a different adjustments. I also added a sway strap so it would not sway down and hit someone.
