Answer:	It is somewhat difficult to describe, so I will do my best. The material is not silky, it has a matte finish. It is a very thin material, but yet seems to be very sturdy. I bought this for my college student to use for travel and she has been very pleased with it.

Question:	Are the mesh side panels more like the ones on the osprey daylight models or the mira ag model in terms of stretch
Answer:	Not familiar with Mira AG, but the side pockets are not like those in the Daylite. More stretchy and taller, and has an elastic band to hold in water bottles better. Lower compression straps can be used to tighten the side panel around the contents, but top heavy things like bottles can still shift.
Question:	Is this the pack that can be attached to daylite compatible osprey packs
Answer:	The Hikelite is not designed to specifically attach to compatible Osprey Packs. That is the Daylite and Daylite Plus which can attach to the following packs: Aether/Ariel AG Series, Aether/Ariel Pro Series, Volt/Viva Series, Shuttle Series, Sojourn Series, Farpoint 80, Farpoint/Fairview Wheeled Travel Pack Series, Farpoint/Fairview Trek Series and Porter Series.
Question:	Can it be used for school books
Answer:	Of course it can. But not that many and not that appropriate as the book covers may be crumpled or folded if not well placed. This is really for hiking.
Question:	Is it small enough to fit under a seat on a airline
Answer:	You can certainly fit it under the seat in front of you. They may call it 26 but I find it holds gear more like a 20-22L pack. Its not a particularly good choice for travel or carry-on though since you asked. It has minimal organization and doesn't feel that comfy with heavier loads that travel often means. The waist strap is for keeping it in place, too, and offers no help with loads. There are much better travel pack options out there. If you want some better Osprey travel options in the same price range, check out the Tropos, Momentum, Radial or Nebula packs. I also have an Osprey Porter 30 that is far superior to the Hikelite 26 for travel/carry-on. They are all much better choices for travel and all will fit under the seat in front of you if you don't over stuff them. My fave out of the ones I mentioned here is the Tropos 32. Its big enough to travel for a week, fit under the seat in front of you, and it cinches down really nicely to be used as a day pack when you arrive at your destination. It also has magnificent organization, the same mesh breathing back panel as the Hikelite, and it has a kick stand that really helps with travel. Yes, a kick stand! How cool is that when you are waiting on long airport lines!

Question:	Will this work as a carry on bag in the smaller planes. It looks perfect but I'm afraid it might be too big. Dimensions are conflicting
Answer:	Yes it will fit. I specifically purchased this mobile office for this reason.
Question:	Airlines no longer allow luggage with a lithium ion battery. there is a usb cord in this... does it have the battery? will it be allowed on my flight
Answer:	I have flown with mine many, many times. No problem at all.
Question:	Has anyone taken this on one of Delta's small commuter planes? I'm pretty sure it won't fit in the overhead but will it fit under the seat
Answer:	On the puddle jumpers it did fit in the overhead bin.
Question:	I just received it and cannot find an external usb port. is there one
Answer:	There is USB connectivity in the front compartment on the flap that folds down when you unzip it. This is the compartment that has places for pens and accessories. It has a place to hold the power pack (which you have to supply) and/or phone. This is set up to use wireless charging if you have the appropriate power pack. I did find this setup a little cumbersome and if on a small plane, just having the power pack in its designated space will sometimes keep the bag from fitting in the overhead...and my wireless power pack is very thin. While I thought this would be a great feature when I ordered the bag, I have found I really don't use it. I think it could be better designed. Check inside the compartment on the front of the flap as well. That said. I love this bag. I fly a lot with work and it works perfectly. I went through a couple of the Samsonite predecessors, which I found to be the most functional bag out there for business travel at the time, but this new design is much improved.
