Answer:	01March2020 - I owned this backpack up until Friday when my rental vehicle was broken into and someone stole the backpack. I travel a lot somewhere between 6 and 8 months out of the year. In the past 2 months it has not mattered if your laptop is in a TSA approved backpack it will be removed out of the bag. Either way I am looking to replace my stolen bag with the same backpack since it is extremely durable and very high quality. I mean it has endured 3 years of overhead and underneath seat storage on airplanes. This backpack is a great buy.

Answer:	I don't think it's 100% water proof. It's more water resistant. I think if you are standing a drenching rain for a period time, everything will get wet. But walking around for a short period of time in the rain, it should be okay. My son uses this at all weather to walk in between classes at school.

Answer:	I have an Alienware Gaming laptop that has a 17.3in display and it fits in the laptop compartment with room to spare. I have about a half an inch of room on top where the corner of the laptop is closet to the zipper, about an inch of head room at the very top and about two inches of room on the side. No jack knifing in in there either, it's perfect for my needs.

Answer:	I suppose it could depend on the airplane, but mine was full on a trip to Florida and back, and it fit under the seat in front of me without any problem.

Answer:	This backpack DOES NOT fit the Alienware 17 R4. The Alienware 17 is bigger than most other 17 inch laptops because of the venting on the back behind the screen. This does not allow the backpack to close. If you have a 17.3 inch laptop it is kindof hit or miss on whether this backpack will hold it. If the bezel on the screen is too wide or if there is hardware behind the hinge your 17.3 inch laptop may not fit.
Question:	is the bottom of the backpack made up of some hard plastic or though material to withstand floor/ground contact and resist friction / erosion
Answer:	The back and bottom are fabric. The back plane of the backpack has a semi-rigid piece inside surrounded by soft padding and a soft breathable nylon fabric exterior along its entire length. The bottom piece is a heavy nylon fabric with some padding. There is nothing like rubber feet or plastic runners to keep ground contact to a minimum. If the bag is dragged or slid across a rough surface it will begin to show. I found this bag to be better quality than most of the bags in the school supply isle at my local department store and as good or better quality than many at the local sporting goods/ camping supply store. The quality far exceeds the price.
Question:	Is it waterproof
Answer:	Everything in my backpack stays mostly dry, but there was a bit of water in between the cover of my notebook and my papers were a bit wavy. I would treat it with a waterproof spray to be sure. It'd probably be fine in a drizzle, but if it's pouring hard I would not depend on it to keep things perfectly dry.

Answer:	It's not a heavy duty backpack, so if you carry your laptop around all the time and want to protect it from constantly dropping your bag around, I would not recommend this one. However, it's very lightweight and has a lot of compartments for different uses which is very helpful. It's also good for carrying the laptop while traveling or occasionally in the city which is what I do.

Answer:	The warranty is on workmanship only. Not normal use, wear and tear or over stuffing.... I have been thru this with the swiss gear company.... I just had the zipper repaired by a seamstress...
Question:	How have the shoulder straps lasted over time? (particularly for those who carry a lot of items in their backpack
Answer:	I've been using the same one going forth to Afghanistan (contractor) for 3 years. I have kept it packed pretty full of: my 17" Toshiba satellite computer, Neat scanner, all electrical device cords (aux plug cord, usb cord & extension, ear buds w/cords, electrical plug converter (Europe, Germany, middle east), battery packs, camera, flashlight, mp3 player, personal paperwork for deployment & travel documents, house and truck keys, note pad, ink pens & marks a lot, sewing kit, super glue, lots of travel snacks (peanuts, trail mix, cliff bars, jerky....etc.), 2 water bottles and a compass.... it shows signs of ware and only been repaired once on the bottom from a tear but the straps and handle are still going strong. And I promise ya I have put it thru its paces in ALL kinds of extreme climates!! I would definitely suggest this pack to anyone using it outdoors!!!! Hope this helps
Question:	Will a 17.3 inches screen Lenovo ideapad Z710 (dimensions: 16.30 x 1.24 x 10.60 inches) fit
Answer:	Not gonna lie, at 17.3 inches my laptop was smack at the top of the bag and made closing the zipper a gamble at best. i would say that they mean a very literal 17 inches and i feel like that is being generous. so no, i don't think it will fit.
Question:	How good is the durability
Answer:	Bought mine in 2008 to go with my new 17" laptop; though the laptop actually does, shockingly, still work 9 years later, perhaps even more shockingly is that this bag still looks almost as good as the day I bought it, save one of the eyelets disappearing (oh and the plastic casing on the carrying strap is ripped up--but oddly the like steel cable beneath it is in perfect shape, hah). And I carried this daily for ~5 years and still bring it on every trip I ever take (as my "go bag" with the stuff I actually need to always have with me) and yeah, basically, I have never regretted my purchase for a moment.

Question:	I have an ASUS ROG G750Jz. Will it fit on this backpack
Answer:	My current laptop is a Mythlogic Nyx 1713 17.3". It's a beast that weighs 8.60lbs (with the battery pack) and has the following dimensions: 16.22 x 10.87 x 1.65 inches.It fits just fine within this backpack with quite a surprising amount of room to spare. Looking at the ASUS ROG G750Jz, it has the following dimensions: 16.10 x 12.50 x 2 inches. You definitely won't have any problems with the 16.10" or 2". I don't have the backpack with me today to measure but I do know I can easily fit a few fingers on both sides of it near the corners as that's how I pull the laptop out of the backpack. If I were a betting man, I'd put money down that you'll be just fine.Also, the backpack is amazing. It's traveled cross country numerous times with me and has been on a few overseas trips, too. Not one single complaint from me.

Answer:	I have an MSI GT70 and it fits with extra space. This bag is huge and I think it should fit. But to be 100% go to their website and email them your question.

Answer:	I’ve owned this bag for over 6 years and use it for business EDC. It makes many car trips and some flights as carry on. It’s starting to have significant wear in some places: 1. Outer bag liner bottom seams are starting to open up 2. Seams are generally fraying/loose threads all over exterior of the bag 3. The spandex front pouch has ripped vertically on either side of the nylon loop. 4. Chest buckle broken With that said I’ve done nothing to repair the bag and I’ve abused it. All of the zippers and the interior are in great shape. I’ll likely: 1. Sew up the loose seams 2. Singe loose ends and picks 3. Sew in new spandex panel? I’ve thought about replacing this with some other material or a MOLLE panel.
