However, keep in mind that some newer model MacBooks don't have an audio line in, so the mic still won't work even if you buy the Y adapter.Do some research on your model to verify before getting the Y adapter. You can get a relatively inexpensive USB line in/out adapter instead.Don't waste your money on sennheiser's adapter if it won't work.Specifically, my 2013 MacBook Pro 13" Retina does not have a universal in/out, only out.
