If you buy a Verizon phone of any kind then you have to use it with Verizon. If you find a RAZR that was an ATT phone, then the SIM is functional and you can use it as you please. Answer:	It is "activated" and most likely will get updates. However, there doesn't appear to be a way to get the Windows 10 license from the machine. (There is for all "real" copies of Windows 10 Pro) This means that if the storage media that the OS resides on goes bad, or you want to upgrade it, there is not a way to reinstall that license. In that event you will likely have to buy a real copy of Windows 10 Pro.
