Answer:	This package includes the VHStoDVD 7.0 Plus (for PC) and Video Conversion for Mac. The only difference between the 7.0 Plus and 7.0 Deluxe is that the Plus version does not include the Blu-ray burning.
Question:	Do you have to play the movie as it converts? does it take convert in high speed or does it take the full movie length time
Answer:	To answer your first question: Yes you have to play the movie as it converts otherwise if you fast forward it it might record you fast forwarding it. Unfortunately there's no work around on that. To answer your second question, no it doesn't convert in high speed unless you have a Solid State Drive and have 16 GB RAM or more then it might, but that's just an educated guess. Otherwise it depends on the length of the tape. The longest I had to record was 2 hours and 28 minutes. The shortest I had to record was 5 minutes. Also it depends on well taken care of and clean the tape is, I noticed the first time I did a tape it kept destabilizing after cleaning the tape it stabilized perfectly the conversion was very smooth.

Answer:	I just bought this yesterday. I am running the latest OS X Yosemite 10.11.2 and it works *but only if you plug in the device to the USB port AFTER launching the application*. If the device is already plugged in then it does not record any sound.

Answer:	The mixed answers here might be because of the following behavior: You have to plug the device into the usb port *AFTER* launching the application. If the device is already plugged in then it does not record any sound. Answer:	Yes. I have not found an option to make it full screen, but the picture will still fill most of your screen even with the program border.

Answer:	It depends on what you use to record it on the computer. With the software they supply on a PC, it would be MPEG. Using QuickTime on a Mac, it's MOV.

Answer:	Regarding the user who said it did not pass audio, I found a similar issue with a similar Empia USB capture device. Here's the thing: You have to dig into the *video* input capture settings, where you'll find a Mute checkbox, which defaults to enabled. You'll want to uncheck that, then audio capture will work. Audio capture via PulseAudio may also be crackly and broken, in which case, it's advised to use pavucontrol to disable PulseAudio for the capture device, and use ALSA directly.

Answer:	Yes, it has all the cables you need. It has the UBS connector and it has the three RCA cables (red,white,and yellow). It does not have a S-cable but there is a place to connect it if you want to use one for slightly better video output.

Answer:	Generally, the drive will have "DVD Recorder", "DVD Multi Recorder", or similar on the drive tray door. The DVD will only hold up to 4.2 gigabytes so make sure of the file size before burning or it have to go on to 2 DVD's.When burning, make sure there is an option to make the DVD playable on your TV or other devices (i.e. portable dvd player). Depending on the age of the player, older models may not play the dvd while newer ones will.In the US, players will only take a dvd if it is formated for NTSC. PAL formats are for other countries.I have ripped older movies but found newer ones have a copyright block that will prevent you from ripping them. So if you are hoping to rip Frozen to another dvd, it may not happen.I have used VHStoDVD recently on home made VHS tapes but had problems burning while I was on Windows 8. Upgrading to Win 8.1 removed whatever was blocking the program and all runs smoothly now.Hope my answer was not too confusing. Learn the program and have fun.

Answer:	They are standard rca jacks. The male end looks to be about 3-4 millimeters.

Answer:	No software needed for iMac - Use QuickTime P: Plug the converter Play the tape VCR Open Q T P - (click cancel to the opening window) and on "File" tab click on "New Movie Recording" (you should see a window with the tape video playing with no sound) - (you may not have vid playing yet at that time) Click in the window anywhere (if no video or no sound or both) you will see next to the record button the arrow. Click this arrow for pref and select: "AV to USB2.0" for the vid and same for "microphone" Then click record, when done close the window to initiate the saving message. Done
