User questions & answers
Question: | Does these have PWM |
Answer: | No, please consider F12 PWM Rev.2 or F12 PWM PST. -Justin@ARCTIC |
Question: | Is it 4 pin or 3 pin? The earlier answer seems to be guessing. 3 pin is PWM, and 4-pin is both PWM and measured RPM (tachometer pulses) as feedback |
Answer: | there are different versions of each type of fan (P or F series) and the different sizes. 3 pin (usually) means voltage control, 4 pin (most of the time) runs in pwm mode. no difference in operating (one better than the other), as long as the board/fan controller recognizes the fan properly, and 3 pins transfer rpm as well. but fan rpm controlled by voltage seems to be a bit smoother at the lower end (~500 rmpand lower), versus the pwm one. then again, the "normal" F/P fans with pwm (0.3 sone) usually allow for lower minimum rpm (down to ~200) versus the silent type about ~350 (0.08 sone) |
Question: | What is the difference between Rev. 2 and Rev. 1 - I can't find the differences on their site. Thank you |
Answer: | Hi,The Rev 1 is now the PWM PST fan and comes with a PST adapter to add more fans to the same PWM Signal. The Rev 2 is the same fan but without the PST adapter. Best regards,Jens |
Question: | Static Pressure? can't seem to fine it any where online |
Answer: | Air Flow: 74 CFM / 126 m³/h (@ 1,350 RPM)Noise Level: 0.3 Sone (@ 1,350 RPM)This is from URL: http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/arctic-f12-pwm-pst.htmlThe included manual / instructions say noting but "high static pressure" |

User questions & answers
Question: | The p140 is too much because it is not shipped and sold by amazon, like the p120 is. when will you get the p140 shipped and sold from amazon |
Answer: | Try NewEgg or FrozenCpu to buy. These are finest fans for money IMHO! Cheers |
Question: | What size screws are included. I want to mount on my radiator |
Answer: | Only include bright Chrome colored short screws... You would need to use / buy longer screws included with your brand radiator..... Also they would be fine thread as opposed to standard fan to chassis "coarse thread" screws! These are powerful high quality fans for radiator, by the way. |
Question: | Does this work for to swap fans from the arctic liquid cooler |
Answer: | If you mean the Liquid Freezer, yes. But they're the same fan design that comes with it. Not much point unless you want to add some for push/pull, or want to add/remove RGB fans. They're the best high static pressure fans I've used! Just make sure you're matching 120 with 240/360 rads and 140 with 280 rads (Arctic makes both 120mm and 140mm of these five bladed high pressure fans). |
Question: | What's the difference between the bionix p120 and the f |
Answer: | F12 has 9 thinner blades and moves more air with no resistance. P12/P12 Bionix have 5 thicker/stronger blades and provide more static pressure(think of it as pushing the air out harder, and to a lesser extent pulling air in harder). Generally, you can always use a comparable static pressure fan(Artic P12, EK vardar, Noctua A12x25), but an airflow focused fan(Artic F12, Noctua S12) will have marginally quieter air noise(the noise of air moving, as opposed to fan motor noise) if you don't restrict it's flow too significantly. |
Product features
A-RGB for Full Colour Control
The 12 A-RGB LEDs installed in the BioniX P120 A-RGB are autonomously controllable. The BioniX P120 A-RGB is compatible with the common A-RGB standards of motherboard manufacturers for the simplest possible use. It can therefore be fully illuminated directly via the A-RGB motherboard connection or via an external controller and synchronized with other hardware lighting.
Easy installation and extension via Connector Technology
The ARCTIC Bionix P120 A-RGB have two connections: a power-in and a connector output. ARCTIC uses an 8-pin connector for this, which forwards both the fan and lighting signals and considerably simplifies the cabling *. The included connector block also enables a wireless series connection.
*all necessary cables are included
High-quality plain bearing
Thanks to an alloy/lubricant combination developed in Germany, friction within the bearing is reduced, increasing efficiency. In this way, less heat is generated, there is less bearing noise and the service life of the fan is extended.
Optimised for static pressure
During the development of the new BioniX P120 A-RGB, special emphasis was placed on a focused airstream and thus a high static pressure. The fan offers extremely efficient cooling, even with increased air resistance. Therefore, the BioniX P120 A-RGB is particularly suitable for use on covered case vents or inlets with filters.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the 92mm size a measure of the physical plastic, so that it's 90mm from screw to screw |
Answer: | The size is the actual outside measurements of the housing. A 92mm fan has holes on 82.5mm centers and a 120 mm fan has holes on 105mm centers. I have a Thermaltake case with room for a 120mm fan, but the widest holes are on around 93mm centers that don't fit any readily available fan that I have found except these. My 120mm version of these has a second set of holes on the output side on about 93mm centers that work in this case. I stocked up while they are available. |
Question: | I would like to use this fan to help cool a rv fridge. which two wires should I use to connect it |
Answer: | Just remember your RV's (or car's) "12 volts" is actually higher than 12 volts. Case fans, LED lights, anything with a 12v wall-wart all take exactly 12volts. Depending on what it is, 13 to 14 volts plus might not be a problem, but to play it safe I'm using a "Buck Converter" to provide up to 3 amps of 12 volts for my LED's and a Blu-ray player. Not sure if it would be needed for these fans, my guess is they will work fine without it, but may not last as long being constantly fed higher voltages than they're rated for. |
Question: | what is the cfm |
Answer: | Newegg lists CFM at 44.73 for the 120mm case fan. I believe it's accurate. |
Question: | what adapter do i need to connect these to my power supply? and can i connect all on the single cable |
Answer: | I purchased the 140 mm, though I would assume they should be the same. the fans themselves are 3 pin if you are going to attach them directly to your motherboard but they also come with 3 pin to molex adapters (which I used) in order to connect them directly to the power supply. I was able to attach two fans in series to one of my power supplies molex strips. |

User questions & answers
Question: | The description says 140mm, but the name of the product and the box details pictured say 120mm, is it 120mm or 140mm |
Answer: | The F12s are 120 mm and the F14s are 140mm. Same with the P12s and P14s Not sure why amazon globs them all together to confuse everything. If you want the specs, check the back of the box on the product images. In the charts, amazon has the 140 mm specs listed for the 120 mm fans (i.e., the chart shows the Arctic BioniX F120 is 104 CFM, but that's the number for the BioniX F140. The F120 is actually 69 CFM according to the box. |
Question: | Can I place this on the esports cpu |
Answer: | Probably you just need somewhere to mount it and somewhere to plug the power cable into your motherboard. If you look at a schematic of your board you can probably find where the plugs for the fan are and if you don't have enough on the board you can get a splitter so you can plug 2 fans on 1 fan power plug (if that makes any sense). |
Question: | Can these be used as 4 pin fans |
Answer: | Yes, these are 4 pin PWM fans that plug into a 4 pin header on a motherboard. These and all other 3-Phase fans sound more pleasant than regular PWM fans. |
Question: | How do these compare to the noctua nf-s12b redux-1200 case fans for high airflow |
Answer: | Per the specs of the Arctic Spinning at a full 1800 RPM it is rated to move 117 m³ of air per hour for 13.99$, whereas the NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM moves 100.6 m³ of air per hour 13.95. The arctic fan is around 20 decibels (if you convert .5 sone) and the Noctua is 18.1 decibels. Depending on if you value the extra quiet, or want maximum airflow, those seem to be the seperating points not necessarily on price, but looks are definitely better on the Arctic as well. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I want to use these fans to move air around my indoor hydroponic garden. Is there an adaptor/connection so they can be powered from an outlet |
Answer: | The Seaflo 4" fan works excellent. The sound level is much lower than I expected. The air flow is tremendous. Your question: Will a 6 amp adapter power a fan who demands 6 amps. It will but for how long? Your power supply output should always exceed the maximum amperage drain of your device you wish to power. The power supply max. output should be at least 10% greater than the maximum draw of the device. Spend a little more and get a power supply with some margin. You will be glad you did both from a safety aspect and the longevity of the power supply. When you are pushing the power supply to it's maximum capability continuously, the temperature will rise in the power supply. As the temp goes up in the supply, the voltage goes down. When the voltage goes down, the fan speed goes down proportional to the voltage drop. Personally, I would buy a supply whose maximum output it 50% greater than the need of the device to be powered. |
Question: | Is it a 4 pin connecter |
Answer: | not I wanted too but I realized you couldn't do it. To be small, it does move a lot of air. |
Question: | power wires are two, three or four |
Answer: | About 24 watts when running. About 50 watts when it is kicking on. |
Question: | Which wire is +12vdc and which is Gnd |
Answer: | Italy. It is a very high quality product. |

Greater Efficiency - Less Noise at Higher Airflow
At low fan speed, the motor noise is key. A motor developed in Germany with a new alloy/lubricant combination reduced friction and noise.
Long Service Life
The Fluid Dynamic Bearing comes with an oil capsule that avoids lubricant leakage. Thus this bearing is as quiet as a sleeve bearing but comes with a significantly higher service life.
Innovative Design Enables Quiet and Efficient Ventilation
The innovative design of the fan blades improves the airflow and facilitates a highly efficient ventilation. The impeller was designed with a focus on minimzing the noise level yet delivering the desired airflow and pressure.
Different Installation
Exhaust hot air out of the case, intake cool air into the case.
