Answer:	Hello, our dual monitor KVM switch is the latest model. At present, there are HKS0402A1U (HDMI + HDMI) and HDK0402A1U (DP + HDMI). The upgraded KVM switch (not dual monitor KVM switch) is HKS0401A2U / HKS0401B2U, HKS0201A2U / HKS0201B2U.
Question:	I have a macbook pro (clamshell mode) & windows desktop. i want to use one keyboard & mouse and two monitors (extended, not mirroring). will it work
Answer:	I can't address the Macbook part of your question but as long as it has dual video outputs, either HDMI or that you convert with adapters to HDMI and a single USB port, it should work great. Your Windows PC needs the same dual monitor output and USB ports. The TESmart uses the single USB port on the computer to communicate keyboard and mouse signals, you will have a single keyboard and mouse connected to the TESmart and none connected directly to either computer. The video displays can be configured as extended displays, mirrored, or as one display from each computer. My setup is extended displays switched between two windows PC's, a single keyboard and mouse, it works exceptionally well. The TESmart also has a USB port that you can use for web cam, wireless mouse and keyboard, or add a USB hub to connect multiple USB devices, They will all switch PC's when you switch from one to the other. I recommend buying the TESmart with all HDMI video ports not the other alternatives. If the video outputs from your PC and Mac are not HDMI, purchase adapters to convert them to HDMI for the input to the TESmart. It's cleaner setup than non-HDMI ports on the TESmart. You will really like this product, I have two of them, one in my main home and another in a vacation home.

Answer:	Once the video is connected After a switch I experience no latency. Switching can take a few seconds.
Question:	Will this device accept a dp to hdmi adapter for one of the pc inputs
Answer:	to answer your question, yes, but i had to try all different kinds of adapters. I did eventually find some information from them on line, that suggested a couple of adapters available from amazon, i ordered one, and it works. So it won't work with just any adapter. There is one issue, with the pc i put the adapter on, if i leave it idle for a period of time, it drops the usb connection(i use a wireless mouse and keyboard), if you use physical, it may not be a issue. But in order to reset it, i have to power down the KVM (or the pc) and power it back on. a little frustrating, but not the end of the world.

How to Get Dual Monitor Display:

How to Get Keyboard and Mouse Work:

1. Make sure cable A is correctly connected, the end with USB, HDMI must be plugged into computer, the other end with only HDMI must be plugged into IN A port (not IN B port).
2. Recommend to plug Bluetooth adapter of wireless keyboard and mouse into rear USB keyboard port.
3. If special keyboard and mouse like gaming and mechanical types do not work well from rear USB ports, use front USB port or turn off the hotkey and use the wired remoter instead.

Installation Guide (incorrect connection will cause malfunction):

1. Connect the end with USB, audio and HDMI of cable A to computer 1, the other end with HDMI only to IN 1A port on the KVM.
2. Connect Cable B from 2nd video output on your computer 1 to IN 1B port on the KVM ( Adapter needed for non-HDMI video output)
3. Repeat 1 & 2 to connect computer 2 to IN 2 A and IN 2 B port on the kvm.
4. Plug your wired keyboard and mouse to relevant USB ports on back side of KVM. Wireless adapter goes to USB keyboard port.

How to Get Dual Monitor Display:

1. Each computer / laptop needs 2 video connections to correspondent IN A and IN B port on the KVM switch using Cable A and Cable B included.
2. Reliable adapters are needed but not included for DVI, VGA, DisplayPort (DP), USB Type C video outputs. Please be aware of the adapters needed for your setup before order.
3. Avoid using adapters on both monitor and computer side for a same video flow. For example, if adapter used for IN B, do not use adapter for Monitor B.

How to Get Keyboard and Mouse Work:

1. Make sure cable A is correctly connected, the end with USB, HDMI must be plugged into computer, the other end with only HDMI must be plugged into IN A port (not IN B port).
2. Recommend to plug Bluetooth adapter of wiredless keyboard and mouse into rear USB keyboard port.

Answer:	Have you gone into MacOS and set the options to extend the screens? If you need help, open a ticket on our BuyTESmart website. We have a 24 hour maximum response time (usually same day though).
Question:	Does my computer need more than one video card for this to work
Answer:	Each monitor needs to be connected to a dedicated monitor port on your computer. Those monitor ports can be on the same video card or split among multiple video cards. So if you have a single video card, check if it can connect to multiple monitors simultaneously. EG: your video card may have multiple hdmi ports, but even if it has a mix of different port types like displayport or dvi, you can get inexpensive adapters to convert them all to hdmi. If you only have one port, then you can either get another video card or add one via usb. One of my laptop has only one hdmi port and I simply got a usb-to-hdmi adapter to add another hdmi port. Obviously a usb video display would not perform as well as a real video card, especially for anything involving 3d. I think technically you can use this device if one of your computers only supports one monitor but obviously when you switch to that computer, only one monitor will show output.
Question:	If the computer turn off the display for power saving, does the KVM cut signal to the actual displays as well
Answer:	The signal passes through the kvm. The monitor determines whether it sees signal to be on or on standby. If the kvm is set to route the signal from a computer that is not outputting signal, the monitor will see no signal and go into power saving/ standby mode.

That hub did NOT work. I had to connect the unifying receiver to USB hub connected to the USB port for peripherals.
