Question:	Why is my Daughter complaining that her phone stops charging overnight
Answer:	This is an external powered USB hub with individual port power control. If you're hooked up to a computer and you power off the system at night then the USB hub is not getting an "on" signal. This is not a wall plug phone charger, it requires an input source to be active, not just external power.
Question:	Does it work if the power adapter is not plugged into the wall
Answer:	I just tested mine and it works without the AC adapter connected. I'm not sure it would handle powering 7 devices along with the charging port though.
Question:	Can it be used only with the pc usb? or always need to be connected to the electrical outlet
Answer:	It depends on what type of USB port your laptop has (this dictates the maximum power transmission capacity) and how much demand you're placing on the device. If it's a bunch of small things like BT dongles and small flash USB/SD drives, it may power them all. If you use an external HDD or SSD (some are built to be that from the start, the rest can be converted to one via a USB enclosure), especially the 3.5 inch varieties which standard desktop towers use, you are far more likely to have power shortages. For example, my SSD/HDDs will beep when attached to a hub and cannot be loaded by the PC, if I use two at a time and I don't attach some sort of external power source (or I don't use one high enough). Also, bear in mind each USB port in a hub has a maximum power transmission rate. Thus, if you use a device that consumes far less power than the listed combined max rate/power jack intake for the hub, but consumes more than what an individual port of that hub can provide, it will not work properly. This shouldn't be a concern unless you use a very high-power or high-end device. For reference, an external 2.5-inch USB external hard drive uses 0.5 amperes (also listed as 500 mAh). The standard 2.0 USB A-type ports supply at least 0.5 A.
Question:	Can all ports be used for charging and transfer data
Answer:	All upper ports can be used for data and charging. The port at the front of the hub is charging only. I run my USB desk light from the front port, and works fine. The 7 upper ports I use for things like my wireless keyboard/mouse, cell phone charging/connection to laptop. It runs my external DVD drive, and works with all ports in use at once. Works with USB 3/2 with no data loss. I will purchase a new one to replace an existing hub behind my desk. Lastly, I have gone through multiple devices like this one, and they fell apart, or failed within a year. This device has exceed my expectations.

Question:	Can you use the power supply one, without the power supply if you wanted to
Answer:	Yes the USB hub will work fine without the AC power adapter. You will need the AC adapter if you want to charge more power-intensive accessories like iPads, etc. that require higher current or if you want to charge 4 devices at one time.
Question:	How long is USB3 cable
Answer:	measured mine at about 1 meter. I really like this thing. The two red high-power only ports are oriented 180 degrees from the USB 3.0 ports so you physically can't mix them up either.
Question:	How many ports can I have active at one time, without overloading the single port of the computer
Answer:	You can use all 4. However, If you need to utilize the speed of 3.0 x4 you will need that kind of throughput on the port you attach it to and this device as well (not sure of max throughput). Most USB devices don't need that kind of speed (such as web cam, keyboards, mice) For instance, if you hook up 3 external SSD drives and VR headset, you will potentially bottleneck on speed. The devices will still function, just not at 100% speed.
Question:	what's the different between the one with the external power adapter and the one without
Answer:	With my USB 3 Ports on my Acer TC-780 front panel ports, I can power all four ports with thumb drives. When I tried the same with a Dell U473D Slim Multimedia Keyboard with 2 USB Port I had to use the pawer supply that came with the HB-UMP3 4-port Powered USB hub. I would advise getting the powered hub because you don't know if your USB port will support enough devices without the power supply unit.

Answer:	i looked it up on Timken site that a year on manufacture defect, not sure what amazon policies are but Autozone gives three year on Timken hub assy, i buy only Timken for my vehicles because they are American made. remember to torque axle nut to proper torq. on all front wheel drive an four wheel drive vehicles, prices are cheaper on Amazon

Answer:	This bearing fit my 2005 GMC Seirra and I think its the same bearing for 2004 Chevy. When I researched hub bearings I believe this particular bearing was for model years 1999-2005 Chevy/GMC 1500 series but you can check Timken web site to make sure. Hub bearing fits either side and it is a 6 lug!
Question:	Are there 2 hubs in the box
Answer:	One hub per box. A 4x4 has one hub on each side (front only). And its wisest to replace both sides. And no I don't a commission from Amazon or from Timken for suggesting that you replace both : ) I may be a fool but to me its like brakes - if one side is out replace both sides - and then figure on fixing a whole list of things - but fix that list wisely and dont waste your $$ on "the real cool stuff"... just be practical.

Answer:	I'm not sure, but it did fit on my 2003 Silverado 1500 LS Z71 4WD. I was very happy with the part (US made, seemed to be of typically high Timken build quality). It's been in for a year - no problems. Good luck.

Answer:	Yes, these will stick through the wheels' centers and they will work for an '04. They come with a large spiral lock ring to hold them in place. It gets sandwiched between the hub body and dial.

Answer:	I have connected my Samsung Note 10 and it charged and was able to get into my cell files. What I did not notice was if it was a rapid/regular/slow charge of the cell.

It is recommended that you safely remove the drive before you hit that power switch on the hub.I have this hub and use it to access 1 4TB drive, 2 5TB drives and 1 8TB drive. That is a LOT of data to loose just because I got lazy.The one reason to have switches on a hub is so that you can have the drives OFF when not in use. Question:	Will this work on my older laptop that may not have a usb 3 port. i want to connect my printer scanner and a usb stick drive at the same time
