The place where you would need for it to be clipped on to, has to be strong, like for me it's clipped to the top of an open drawer, made of solid wood. So a strong edge of something is required. Question:	My daughter lost the cord for the fan. Is there a replacement cord
Answer:	No. It's like a close pin. You pinch it on one side and the other side opens wide. So I've clipped it on the handle of a basket, on a chair, and other things. I clipped it on a ping pong table but that was probably too wide. It held for awhile and then flew off. Lol. It's got about a 2-3 inch area I'm estimating to hold onto what you want. It could probably squeeze wider but it is difficult to say if it will stay on.
