Answer:	Lexar Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader is the only one to get unless you are only going to keep using slower speed cards. File corruption happens when you get the higher speed cards that are rockets. But when you use one of the lesser read speed models, for example, the 25 in 1, it will read much slower and results in file corruption of photos that is transferred to your computer. Note the photos on card are usually not affected by the "corruption" just those in computer. Put the same card in the Dual-Slot, and they copied into my computer just fine. Used the reader for three weeks. Downloads at a rate of 80 mbs to 90 mbs into HHD, and on other computer, which has SSD, downloads at 95mb (Lexar Professional 633X)

Question:	Does the power light on this device stay on even when the computer is turned off
Answer:	Is your power LED on or off when the system isn't running. It will depend on the way your motherboard handles power to the USB ports. My motherboard allows you to set a jumper to use the +5V rail from the power supply that does go off and on with the system's operation. The motherboard also allows you to use the +5VSB (the SB means standby) to power the USB ports. That stays power supply stays on as long as the power supply switch (on the back of the PC) is on and the PC is plugged in. Some motherboards may not give you this choice. Check your motherboard manual. If +5V is powering your USB ports the card reader's LED will be off when the system isn't operating. If +5VSB is powering your USB ports then the LED will remain on. Why have a +5VSB? Well that's to allow your front panel power switch to be a "soft" switch that doesn't switch the full load of your system. It also allows other components on your motherboard to to powered up when the system is not operating. That makes it possible for you to wake the system based on the time of day, by taping a key on the keyboard or clicking the mouse. Those last two require the keyboard and mouse to be getting power all the time. Today, most keyboards and mice are USB devices so motherboard designers use the +5VSB to power the USB ports if they want you to have the "tap to start" feature. Too bad they don't let you chose which USB ports operate that way. I hope that explains it for those who seem to wonder why the other guy is experiencing the power light on or off when the system isn't running. By the way, a little piece of black tape can hide the LED and others have disconnected the LED on some similar card readers by clipping the LED's power lead. I haven't cracked this one open to see if that is possible because it doesn't bother me.

Answer:	Yes, i have installed these in 3 of my MPC 2000xl's. You have to drill holes in the bottom to mount. I think some people said they used double sided tape. I lined mine up and made marks with a nail, drilled both holes and mounted perfectly.

Answer:	I think it does, but I would not count on it being very good with a cheaper safe. This safe is very “cost effective” so it’s probably not a fantastic fire rating.

Question:	What is the transfer speed. says usb3.1 yet cable says usb 3.0 which is it
Answer:	Two cables are provided in the box, a USB 3.1 Gen 1, and Gen 2, both with a USB Type C connector for the card reader. It requires a USB-C (Thunderbolt) cable to work at its full potential, so you will need to use the provided cable(s). You will also need to have this high-speed port (USB 3.1) on your PC or you will not get the speed you’re paying for.
