Question:	How do you guys store this mouse in like a backpack or the similar, since there's no off button
Answer:	I’ve owned this mouse before and if nothing’s changed it will turn off and stay off if it doesn’t receive a signal from the receiver. So if you sleep your computer and press the mouse button, it turns off because there’s no reply. It won’t turn back on until it gets a signal from the receiver again.
Question:	is the mouse wheel smooth or does it click
Answer:	I just started using mine today, the mouse wheel has soft clicks (you feel it), and sometimes you will hear it if you scroll fast. I would NOT want this for gaming but for casual or office use its seems nice, my only complaint is the L/R keys are a bit louder than I like, and might disturb others if your doing a lot of clicking.
Question:	it doesn't have an on/off switch
Answer:	It has an ON switch that is very annoying. After some time (5-10 min) the mouse goes to sleep. It must be woken up by pressing the button below the scroll wheel. If you walk away or pause for 10 minutes you MUST press the button. It seems like I press the dumb button 10x per day. It's not horrible, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be in a 4.5-5 star mouse. I'd give it 3 at most because of this dumb design, and I will probably replace it with something a bit ... smarter.
Question:	how many and what kind of batteries does it use
Answer:	As the other individuals have answered, this mouse does take a double A battery, but please note that the battery compartment is super tight, so a rechargeable battery (eneloop pro's) don't fit into this device. Kind of disappointing, as all I use anymore is rechargeable batteries.

Answer:	A very smooth rubber coating. Too smooth for my taste; not enough grip. I probably won't use it.

Answer:	Not on my iMac late 2015 running High Sierra. On my 2013 Mac Pro the Logitech MX Vertical the thumb buttons work fine.

Answer:	If the mouse has a new battery, is turned on, and your mac's bluetooth is turned on, the mouse should be automatically detected by your computer (System Preferences > Bluetooth). Question:	Does the scroll wheel move smoothly? I previously bought a similar product like this design, but the scrolling wheel doesn’t feel normal
Answer:	I had bought the same mouse in gray/black a couple years ago and just bought a second one in black/black. The old mouse worked flawless and really like it. However, the scroll wheel on the new mouse feels rougher than the one on the older mouse. Otherwise operation is excellent.
Question:	Why does it have a low battery indicator
Answer:	I checked the SKU # on the mouse that I bought and it is the same as on the current one for sale. I can only guess that Tecknet uses the same mouse for a wireless model that would be equipped with a low battery light. Mine is definately a wired model and as far as I can see has no low battery lite.

Answer:	It doesn't matter, as USB 2 is plenty fast for the amount of data a mouse sends. A USB 2 mouse will work with USB 3, and vice-versa.
Question:	is clicking and scrolling silent in this mouse compared to other mouse
Answer:	The clicking isn't silent, but after testing against an old Dell RP962 / PY777 and a new E-3lue Cobra this Amazon Basic mouse clicks more muted than both. As others have said scrolling quickly produces a slightly more noticeable sound, but scrolling slowly is stealth compared to the ambient noise I normally hear in my office.
Question:	How long is the cord? I ask because I'm using it for a desktop and prefer it to be at least 5 feet
Answer:	Okay!I measured the cord only with a ruler from the mouse to the tip of the USB plug in it and it is 4 ft. 8 1/2 inches. If you read my earlier post where I said it was 5 ft long, I hadn't measured it at that time.

Answer:	No, but this thing does not use that much power even at 1600 dpi, I change batteries every 8-12 months . Buy a pack of amazon triple AAA and you'll have enough batteries for life. Great mouse I use for gaming (CODCW/BF4) and in the office for graphic design. Great mouse, not cheap at almost $30 but best in it's price range. Light weight rubbery feel.
Question:	Does this work with OSX Mavericks? Is there a work around to get the thumb buttons to work
Answer:	So, I just bought this on 8/2020. I'm on a mac and the back/forward thumb buttons are working normally out of the box; I didn't do anything. I knew they weren't suppose to, but perhaps Anker fixed this?

Answer:	Depends on usage, I'd guess, but my mouse has been working well ever since I bought it (8-10-2015), without needing batteries replaced very often, at all. Recently, I noticed it was needing batteries more often, so just to be sure, I dated the last pair I put in - 3.5 months ago. I was annoyed to have to change them again so soon, as I've usually long since forgotten about batteries, the next time it dies, but this time was close enough to recall. I put in the new batteries, but the mouse was still dead. Not sure if the old batteries are even dead yet (but the mouse is, hence my being here looking to replace it). If you consider 3.5 months to be a fast death to the batteries, then this is the shortest time to death I've had in the 5 years I've had this mouse. Lots of others seem cool with it needing changing every 2 months, but I found 3.5 a bit soon, so just depends on expectations. I kinda think close to a year is more like it. Of course, I only use my mouse 3-5 hours a day, 7 days a week, so perhaps I've just been really lucky so far. Either way, 5 years is by far the longest I've ever had a mouse last (by about 4 years!), and the money I save on annual mouse replacement will more than offset any battery usage issues that may develop. I also like the feel of this mouse better. Once you get used to it, you will too. Certainly helps with my wrist problems (carpal tunnel), and arthritis).
Question:	I have small hands and also wrist pain problem from traditional mouse. Is this a good option for me
Answer:	I have small hands as well. It is not the best size for me. Too BIG. For more information about my hand size, Logitech m310 and m325 is too small. Logitech m705 is a little big. Logitech m510 and m525 is good to grab but ther are heavy because of 2AA batteries. TeckNet 2600DPI Bluetooth Wireless Mouse is the best size I've found so far. I hope Anker produces a smaller version of it. Regarding wrist pain, it is helpful if you are well adapted in this weird shaped mouse.

Answer:	It's not rechargeable, it runs off a single AA battery. I've only had it a month but have not had to change the battery yet. I use it everyday for at least an hour. The mouse goes to "sleep" relevantly quickly when not in use which I am sure saves battery life. Just a couple clicks on the mouse powers it back up.
Question:	Is this a silent mouse? I mean, noiseless, without the traditional clicking sound, ideal to use in a classroom or a library
Answer:	It goes as fast as you scroll. If you are referring to whether it scrolls a couple of lines or entire page, that is usually controlled by the computer OS. Windows 10 has a setting, just go to search and type Mouse settings and change there.
Question:	Will it work with Mac book
Answer:	If the USB receiver is plugged into the computer and it works normally, the mouse will be going to working mode. But if mouse is going to sleeping mode, the item will turn off, then you need to press any button to weak it up.

Answer:	It can do horizontal/side-to-side scrolling; you just have to press it down once and the arrows will appear. From there it will scroll whichever direction you move the mouse.

Answer:	I found that putting it on the back of my iMac made the mouse skip a lot. I guess the metal frame of the computer -- or maybe the USB ports -- were interfering. I put it onto a spare USB port on my keyboard and now it works perfectly.

Answer:	I just got this mouse. I work in university and public libraries on a daily basis. You ask a great question, F. Campillo. I can aswer with certainty that this mouse does click, and if you work in those environments, you will not want this mouse. I'm leaving mine at home and going back to the expensive but effective Apple Bluetooth white, buttonless mouse. The Amazon mouse is just loud enough to be a problem to others in a quiet room (especially those sitting next to you or across from you).

Answer:	Info for the mouse is not confusing or conflicting. It is not Bluetooth, but requires the USB receiver. It works with any device with Windows or Mac OS 10; and which have a USB port. So the specs on the MacBook Air need to be checked carefully before buying - some have USB port, some don't. It's that simple.The model No. on the receiver is MGR0975, which is paired with the mouse Model No. B0005EJh6Z4. They are a pair, and yes they work with Apple with OS 10, but you need a USB port for the receiver.
