Question:	How do you guys store this mouse in like a backpack or the similar, since there's no off button
Answer:	I’ve owned this mouse before and if nothing’s changed it will turn off and stay off if it doesn’t receive a signal from the receiver. So if you sleep your computer and press the mouse button, it turns off because there’s no reply. It won’t turn back on until it gets a signal from the receiver again.
Question:	is the mouse wheel smooth or does it click
Answer:	I just started using mine today, the mouse wheel has soft clicks (you feel it), and sometimes you will hear it if you scroll fast. I would NOT want this for gaming but for casual or office use its seems nice, my only complaint is the L/R keys are a bit louder than I like, and might disturb others if your doing a lot of clicking.

Answer:	It has an ON switch that is very annoying. After some time (5-10 min) the mouse goes to sleep. It must be woken up by pressing the button below the scroll wheel. If you walk away or pause for 10 minutes you MUST press the button. It seems like I press the dumb button 10x per day. It's not horrible, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be in a 4.5-5 star mouse. I'd give it 3 at most because of this dumb design, and I will probably replace it with something a bit ... smarter.

Answer:	As the other individuals have answered, this mouse does take a double A battery, but please note that the battery compartment is super tight, so a rechargeable battery (eneloop pro's) don't fit into this device. Kind of disappointing, as all I use anymore is rechargeable batteries.

Answer:	When my rollerball starts to feel like it’s sticking or sluggish (rarely) I turn it to off and roll the ball part firmly on my hand and sometimes shake it a little. I have also cleaned it with alcohol with good results. I dried it after cleaning by rolling it around.

Answer:	By default, these seem to be mapped to triple click, forward, and backward. You can change this in the driver. The reason for this seems to be that the simple side plate uses the 2, 6, and 9 buttons.

Answer:	I'm a righty but I can use a mouse in both hands. Use my left hand for mousing at work and my right at home since I spend to many hours in front of computers during a day. This mouse is bad for lefties for sure. The angle and button placements makes it a no go in my opinion.

Answer:	The mouse will work with Mac. I use a Mac at work and a PC at home. From my PC at home I can program the DPI settings and save them into one of the profile slots on the mouse so that they will be the same on my Mac at work. However, you will not be able to program the button functions for the mouse through the Logitech software on the Mac. Some of the buttons are programmable via the Mac preferences pane but I've found that the Mac doesn't seem to pick up the left and right scrollwheel buttons. The DPI shift button works as expected though.Also, i want to point out that the Logitech G software does have a Mac version. And I am able to program my Logitech g500 and g602 mouse with it. My guess is that the surface calibration feature of the g502 is the thing that's holding Logitech back from making this fully compatible with Mac. They've been progressively making their other G mice mac compatible over the past couple of years. So hopefully the g502 will be added to that list at some point as well.
