Answer:	No, but this thing does not use that much power even at 1600 dpi, I change batteries every 8-12 months . Buy a pack of amazon triple AAA and you'll have enough batteries for life. Great mouse I use for gaming (CODCW/BF4) and in the office for graphic design. Great mouse, not cheap at almost $30 but best in it's price range. Light weight rubbery feel.

Answer:	So, I just bought this on 8/2020. I'm on a mac and the back/forward thumb buttons are working normally out of the box; I didn't do anything. I knew they weren't suppose to, but perhaps Anker fixed this?

Answer:	Depends on usage, I'd guess, but my mouse has been working well ever since I bought it (8-10-2015), without needing batteries replaced very often, at all. Recently, I noticed it was needing batteries more often, so just to be sure, I dated the last pair I put in - 3.5 months ago. I was annoyed to have to change them again so soon, as I've usually long since forgotten about batteries, the next time it dies, but this time was close enough to recall. I put in the new batteries, but the mouse was still dead. Not sure if the old batteries are even dead yet (but the mouse is, hence my being here looking to replace it). If you consider 3.5 months to be a fast death to the batteries, then this is the shortest time to death I've had in the 5 years I've had this mouse. Lots of others seem cool with it needing changing every 2 months, but I found 3.5 a bit soon, so just depends on expectations. I kinda think close to a year is more like it. Of course, I only use my mouse 3-5 hours a day, 7 days a week, so perhaps I've just been really lucky so far. Either way, 5 years is by far the longest I've ever had a mouse last (by about 4 years!), and the money I save on annual mouse replacement will more than offset any battery usage issues that may develop. I also like the feel of this mouse better. Once you get used to it, you will too. Certainly helps with my wrist problems (carpal tunnel), and arthritis).

Answer:	I have small hands as well. It is not the best size for me. Too BIG. For more information about my hand size, Logitech m310 and m325 is too small. Logitech m705 is a little big. Logitech m510 and m525 is good to grab but ther are heavy because of 2AA batteries. TeckNet 2600DPI Bluetooth Wireless Mouse is the best size I've found so far. I hope Anker produces a smaller version of it. Regarding wrist pain, it is helpful if you are well adapted in this weird shaped mouse.

Question:	The manual says it can be rechared 300 times. Does that mean its useless after 300 times charging
Answer:	Rechargeable batteries all have a lifespan. Over time they will deteriorate and hold less of a charge. Anything with a rechargeable battery that is not replaceable will be defunct after some period of time. 300 charges is the mtbf (mean time between failure) rate, meaning will last about that many charges. However, given several months per charge, this is still several years. You could use one that is battery operated, and thus buy batteries every few months instead.

Question:	How well does it work with Linux
Answer:	I'm using it with Linux right now, and everything works pretty much as expected. I'm using the Unifying Receiver on a Fedora 28 desktop with X and Bluetooth on a Fedora 29 Beta laptop with Wayland. Everything works on the laptop, and everything but horizontal scrolling works on the desktop. I'm not sure if the difference is X versus Wayland or Unifying Receiver versus Bluetooth. Solaar reports the battery status and easily let me pair it with the unifying receiver I already had on the same machine. It lists two buttons that it doesn't recognize, which I think must correspond to the DPI select button and device switch button. Those work, though, so I don't really care that they don't show in Solaar. Bluetooth also reports accurate battery status in the Gnome control center.
Question:	Does the mx ergo have the super fast, gearless “freely spinning” wheel like the mx masters
Answer:	Nope. It has a cogging mechanism and only recognizes changes between the indents.

Answer:	I use mine (M570) for graphic design 8-12 hours a day and yes, IT DOES INDEED HAVE CLICK FAILURE. At one time I had one of our IT staff take it apart and make adjustments to the switches, but the problem came back again in a few weeks. REALLY frustrating when trying to drag and drop objects in a layout, or draw, or even getting a consistent smooth performance for merely highlighting text. It's a legit concern. I need to replace my M570 and am looking at the MX ERGO for the very same reason, but the $100 price tag seems hard to justify.

I had an older keyboard so first upgraded to ergo k860, OMG!!!! what a difference.... then I thought I should try the vertical mouse first. Returned this on the next day. Then I looked at the Logitech Master MX 3 because it had the most features..... Returned this to the next day because once you go a trackball, you won't be back to a regular mouse. Then, before I decided to try MX Ergo, I thought I should just keep m570 because it was better than the first two: vertical mouse and mx master mx3 but then I thought it wouldn't be fair to not try MX Ergo. Question:	How do you adjust dpi with the dpi button, and how do you know what dpi the mouse is set at
Answer:	According to the instruction manual at Anker's website."When adjusting DPI to the first level (800 DP), the blue LED bar will blink once, when adjusting to the second level, the blue LED bar will blink twice, etc."
Question:	Is it left-hand friendly
Answer:	No. You would have to contort your hand to use it in your left hand. This contortion would be even worse (greater deviation from a neutral hand position) than if a left-handed individual used a traditional mouse. Hopefully they make a left hand version as lefties do make up an estimated 8-10% of the world population (Barsley, 1970).
Question:	What do you mean: Mac OS X (The two thumb buttons are not recognized on the Mac OS X) ... which buttons won't work? The right and left as per photo
Answer:	The thumb buttons are recognized on Mac OS as a 4th & 5th button, they just don't work (out of the box) on fwd/back. You can map them in system preferences to Mission Control functions (like show windows, etc.) or you can get the free BetterTouchTool software and map them to any keyboard shortcut (such as fwd/back or copy/paste, etc.) you'd like.
Question:	how comfortable is for large hands
Answer:	6'5" and if I hold it such that my palm is supported by the back of the mouse, i.e. the webbing of my thumb is actually touching the back of the mouse, like you see in most pictures, my fingers overshoot the end by a whole segment. It's way too small for me. Basically I either have to move my fingers back and have the back of my hand be unsupported with a really awkward thumb grip or have a nice grip support while clicking with the middle segments of my fingers. Hold your hand out facing upward and measure from the tip of your index finger to just passed the bump where your knuckle is. Mine is ~12.5cm which I feel is about 2cm too long for this mouse. So if you're like 10.5 or maybe even 11 or less it will probably be more comfortable, lengthwise anyway. Also the height of the mouse is such that I have to scrunch my fingers so they don't touch the mouse pad. Knuckle to knuckle I'm about 9cm across, and I wish the mouse was about 1 or 2 cm taller.

Answer:	No lag at all. Same as all other mice. Love mine! Perfect if you have tennis elbow.

Answer:	Well not sure exactly how to measure since it has an irregular shape. However I will say 4 inches long 2 1/2 inch wide by 2 1/4 inch heigh.

Answer:	I use mine at work and my mouse is by far the quietest. I can hear the click but I don't believe my coworkers can hear it as well as I can hear their mouse clicks. It requires a very light touch.

Question:	How do you guys store this mouse in like a backpack or the similar, since there's no off button
Answer:	I’ve owned this mouse before and if nothing’s changed it will turn off and stay off if it doesn’t receive a signal from the receiver. So if you sleep your computer and press the mouse button, it turns off because there’s no reply. It won’t turn back on until it gets a signal from the receiver again.
Question:	is the mouse wheel smooth or does it click
Answer:	I just started using mine today, the mouse wheel has soft clicks (you feel it), and sometimes you will hear it if you scroll fast. I would NOT want this for gaming but for casual or office use its seems nice, my only complaint is the L/R keys are a bit louder than I like, and might disturb others if your doing a lot of clicking.
Question:	it doesn't have an on/off switch
Answer:	It has an ON switch that is very annoying. After some time (5-10 min) the mouse goes to sleep. It must be woken up by pressing the button below the scroll wheel. If you walk away or pause for 10 minutes you MUST press the button. It seems like I press the dumb button 10x per day. It's not horrible, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be in a 4.5-5 star mouse. I'd give it 3 at most because of this dumb design, and I will probably replace it with something a bit ... smarter.
Question:	how many and what kind of batteries does it use
Answer:	As the other individuals have answered, this mouse does take a double A battery, but please note that the battery compartment is super tight, so a rechargeable battery (eneloop pro's) don't fit into this device. Kind of disappointing, as all I use anymore is rechargeable batteries.
