Answer:	It certainly softens a firm mattress. Some comments on here said it's like sleeping on a cloud but I don't really agree with that. It may feel like that initially but it settlers down a bit after awhile. Still feels wonderful & I can't imagine sleeping without it on the bed! I will always have it on the bed.

Answer:	Most of the time, I use the mouse on a flat, hard surface. The mouse works well. There were a few times I moved the mouse around and it affected the tracking. The mouse may not track as well on a soft, uneven surface.

Now if you're referring to programming in terms of gaming, each individual game should have the ability to do that from the in-game settings. For instance, I just assigned the upper side button to perform "parry" in a shooter I've been playing.
