User questions & answers
Question:
How great is the range? i have a computer set up to tv in the living room about 12 feet away. my current Logitech MK300 is unreliable from distance
Answer:
I only could go away from the computer a maximum of ten feet (due to room size) and it worked fine.... I am guessing that it would handle the twelve feet. I would suggest you try your current keyboard and see if it works from 10 feet away, if it doesn't work than I would guess that the K 270 should work.. If not you can always return it.
Question:
can you lock the 8 hot keys? When I pick up my keyboard to put in lap, I keep hitting the pc button & it turns my cpu off
Answer:
If you are using a Windows PC, you can set up power options to actually ignore this button on the keyboard (i.e. do nothing when triggered). You would then simply use the power button on the computer itself (or the Start Menu -> Sleep/Hibernate option in Windows) when you're done using your PC.
Question:
is there a cap locks indicator
Answer:
http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/23268/~/k270-caps-lock-and-num-lock-indicators The answer is yes.
Question:
I'm going nutty trying to find the right keyboard. This seems to say the angle is adjustable... does that mean it has the little pull-out legs? And also, the keyboard I have now came with the mouse and unifying dongle so could I still use the MK320 mouse with this keyboard? or would I have to get another mouse? Thanks
Answer:
Yes it is the little plastic pull out legs and I have a mouse that is totally separate, use two different usb ports if your mouse you have has it's own wireless connector then yes if the same connector is used for both keyboard and mouse then I am not sure if it will work unless that source plugs different place than new keyboard. I love this keyboard and have a logitech red and white m525 mouse that works great. Good luck, I have gone through many keyboards and mice and these have worked great for over a year.

User questions & answers
Question:
can i change the keyboard press resistance? It feels too spongy/resistant to me. I prefer a hard press even with more noise
Answer:
Yes, this is a stock keyboard that is relatively "high end" construction. I don't know of any way to emulate the snappy feel of a scissors switch, but otherwise you can tune the keyboard response. I find it difficult to change the feel of the function keys.
Question:
My biggest complaint of the MK710 was lack of laser etched keys because they fade and wear off. Is this fixed or improved
Answer:
Key caps do fade and wear off quickly.
Question:
Can you remove the palm rest part of keyboard so it uses less space
Answer:
No. It's all one molded piece.
Question:
Lots of reports of skipped keys right after sleep, does this mostly apply to bluetooth or are you seeing this with the unified usb connector too
Answer:
I'm using unified usb connector. Have not noticed skipped keys. However, I always count on things like this and allow a few seconds for the system to wake up.

User questions & answers
Question:
does it have a full size mouse
Answer:
Yes. This gaming keyboard works just fine on Xbox!
Question:
Does anyone have a problem with the side number keys not working
Answer:
In my experience, the type of mechanical keyswitches matters less than the fact of mechanical switches--compared to the dome-membrane of cheap desktop keyboards, or scissor switches of most laptop keyboards, they last longer and feel better to type on, and you can press more keys at once.
Question:
To the seller. cannot find a way to write to seller. why did my package not come with mk270 plug in? cannot use either mouse or keyboard
Answer:
Mechanical Keyboard – Advantages Longer Lifespan. Mechanical keyboards have a significantly longer life span than membrane keyboard. Improved Typing Experience / Feedback. A mechanical switch offers way more tweaking options than a simple rubber dome. High Stability / Robustness. Sound Level. High Weight.

Question:
does the mk545 have the same bs lag and connectivity issues that the mk520 seems to be having

Yes, the CAPS LOCK key does, indeed, have a green light that lights up when activated...on the upper left corner of the key.

User questions & answers
Question:
About the -FEEL- of the keyboard
Answer:
Oh it most definitely does. Think of it as a modern equivalent to the original IBM PS/2 keyboard. It feels like a bigger, more high quality version of the one on a Dell Latitude D630
Question:
is this mac compatible
Answer:
I have been using this keyboard without incident for 5 years with a 2009 27" iMac as well as a MacBook Pro at work. There are absolutely no issues using this keyboard with a Mac. You'll need to go into the System Preferences > "Keyboard" > "Modifier Keys..." and swap the "Windows" (option) and "alt" (command) keys so it will function just like a Mac keyboard. Please ignore all the Windows users' comments who have no first-hand knowledge.
Question:
How quiet are the keys? I'm researching keyboards for a testing center. People regularly complain about the keyboard noise in there
Answer:
I don't have a noise level for you but it was one of the quietest keyboards I've had. I had one that lasted from 2010 to 2017. The one I replaced it with seemed to be exactly liked the one I replaced but the space bar didn't work unless I hit it dead center. I tried taking the space bar off the old one and using it but it didn't help. I finally put a piece of plastic in the center and it worked for about a month. I gave up and now have another keyboard that is no where near as quiet but at least all of the keys work.
Question:
Is the palm rest removable
Answer:
No the palm rest is not removable.

Question:
Could it work with the Logitech M570 wireless mouse receiver or should I use its own receiver
Answer:
Both should be compatible on one receiver. I am using the same receiver with the MX Master.
Question:
what is the range
Answer:
I tested 14 feet away and it still works, but I cannot see what I typed. Not sure how far you intent to type from. It is like your wireless router, so it depends on your structure.Per Logitech: Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless: So you can work or play in more places-like your comfy couch-the long-range wireless connection virtually eliminates delays, dropouts, and interference. Learn more about Logitech wireless technologies.
Question:
I have the MS Natural 4000, and love its comfort, but it is much too noisy. Is the Logitech quiet? Thanks
Answer:
It's so noisy if I forgot to mute during a zoom meeting (attendees complaining), that I was forced to find another option. The Logitech Ergo K860 Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard worked out GREAT.
Question:
can it be used with a Mac
Answer:
It can be USED with a Mac but none of the keys can be customized like you can on Windows. The best you can do is switch the Windows key and the command key but it's not obvious how. You have to go into the normal keyboard set up (not the LCC) and pick unifying device from the dropdown then switch the keys. BE SURE TO GO BACK TO ALL SYSTEM PREFERENCES AND QUIT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE IN THE PREFERENCES PANEL. If you don't system preferences will crash and the system will become unstable. I actually had my Mac shutdown when I went to the LCC and turned the keyboard on to pair it.

Will this work with a Samsung un40eh5300fxza that appears to be running under Linux
Answer:
Yes it works with several versions of Linux that I have on several computers. Just plug & play on my machines. You won't get keyboard customizations provided with Logitech software though. Linux recognizes it as an ordinary keyboard on my machines. I guess you can check if the company's website has Linux software for customization settings, but I didn't bother because it works. I use these for computers connected to home entertainment centers, not for my primary computers. So they don't get typed on much because they're used mostly to navigate & use media. Nonetheless, the letters on several keys rubbed off after just a couple moths of very light use. A year later almost half the keys don't have letters on them anymore. I never had letters rub off keyboards before, & I've used dozens of them. I'm typing this on a HP keyboard (my favorite) built in 1999. None of the letters are wore off after extremely heavy usage for almost 2 decades.
Question:
Has anyone used this with a Steam link device? Any issues
Answer:
I just got this today specifically to try on steam link. Yes, it does work and at a surprising distance. Track pad and keyboard working. So for steam link users :) this keyboard does work.
Question:
Has the build quality improved? The original K400 left a lot to be desired in this area (letters rubbing off, mushy keys, creaky flexing body
Answer:
Just arrived and used it for 2 days. Met my expectations as a couch keyboard. The trackpad works well and the left-mouse-button key at the top left is rather handy. Build quality is fine given its price, but definitely inferior to the K480 and K800 that I have. Haven't used the original K400, but haven't seen yet (it's been 2 days only) the old problem of letters rubbing off. Keyboard body is reasonably solid. Don't expect this to be your day-to-day working keyboard -- the keys are too soft for a good typing experience.
Question:
has anyone used this to connect via bluetooth? i am looking to connect an android smartphone and a surface pro
Answer:
It's not bluetooth but In the case of the Surface Pro 3 you can connect the usb transceiver of the keyboard to the usb port of the surface (if you don't have space in the port you can buy an usb hub to connect multiple usb divices including the usb tranceiver of the keyboard). In the case of an Android smartphone also you can use it but you need to buy an OTG cable (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LN3LQKQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_aV3rxbAXHV1FH) and connect the tranceicer to the android device, it would work (I proved in Galaxy Alpha, S6, Tab S2, Motorolas and works perfect)

Question:
Will this item work with a rca Galileo 11.5 pro tablet
Answer:
I use mine on a PC which has regular USB ports. Checking GOOGLE, the MacBook Air has USB-C ports. Amazon sells adapters for USB-C to USB, but would it work I don't know. Check with Apple on the phone or at their store.
Question:
Is it compatible with MacBook Air
Answer:
As far as I know, it's compatible with most all keyboards. I works just fine with an inexpensive keyboard that I bought from Kmart and it works just as well w my Dell Latitude 620 laptop.
Question:
Is this mouse compatible with Logitech K750 keyboard
Answer:
So I went ahead and bought the M185 hoping the USB would work with my existing USB for the mk270. Unfortunately it does not. So I have to use two USB ports. One for the mk270 keyboard and one for the m185 mouse. OBTW - I got it for $13 at Office Depot.
Question:
Does it work with MK
Answer:
It's not a big keyboard, it's longer than it is wider. So I'd say it's about 4 inches tall and 8 or 9 long. Like a keyboard for a tablet
Yes, a green capital A lights up next to the OFF/ON switch near the upper right hand corner.
