Answer:	Use a sponge - the kind you use for dishes. But have a separate sponge dedicated to washing this cover, so that you don't transfer the dirt from the dishes onto this cover. Just use regular dishwashing soap, warm or cold (but not hot) water, hold the cover down with one hand and just gently wipe the cover with the other hand, from end to end, back and forth a few times. Then flip the cover and repeat the process on the other side. Rinse with a gentle stream of water, shake off excess water, and lay on paper towel (both sides) to dry. Takes about 3-4 minutes. I do it once a week.

I was amazed how the backpack kept me afloat, albeit face-down! Once I got my bearings and made it to the shore, I inspected the bag. All of my gear inside was dry! I suppose there is a limit of depth and/or internal mass before the pressure/gravity would breach the bag, but I am not willing to experiment to discover it!

Answer:	I'm not sure what you mean by "new early." There were two versions of the retina 12, I have the later (both have the same keyboard size and layout, to my understanding). The keyboard cover fit my keyboard. The light shows through the letter cut outs. The skin does stretch a bit and it happened fairly quickly. But it was not enough to bother me, I've been using the same one for 4 mos now and still love it.
