Answer:	If your camera is being powered by a wall power adapter that provides more than 500ma (Milli amps) then it will definitely not work since at best USB can provide 500ma. If you camera is powered by a USB port on your computer then this may work. However over longer distances you will only see about 470ma available at the end of the cable and this can cause devices that need more than than that to not operate correctly.

I understand that it will be a document camera in one end and I asume a PC or laptop on the other end. The USB port that supplies the standard 5 volt has to be of a good quality machine, what I mean is capable of delivering the 5 Volt across the length of the wire with no loss, otherwise you may face some problems. When I needed a long USB cable I used a dual USB to a micro USB or one USB with a power inserter to avoid any chance of data loss, or speed, etc. I hope this helps Maybe you can buy it, test it and if it doesn’t work the way that the seller describes you can send it back,....something you can do regardless.
